Recently, we learned from relevant channels that BYD Song Pro DM-i will be officially launched in 2021. The new car is positioned as a compact SUV. In terms of power, it will be equipped with a dedicated 1.5L Atkinson cycle engine + electric motor.
In terms of appearance, the overall upgrade of the new car is basically the same as that of the fuel version. The air intake grille adopts a banner style and is connected with the headlights on both sides, which looks very advanced. The tail adopts a through-type taillight design, which is highly recognizable after lighting.
In terms of power, the new car will be equipped with a 1.5L Atkinson cycle engine for plug-in hybrids, with a maximum thermal efficiency of 43%. The maximum power of the engine is 81kW, and the peak torque is 135N·m. The electric motor is available in two versions with maximum power of 132kW and 145kW. The corresponding pure electric cruising range is 51km and 110km.
