He is a firm patriot who has been maintaining national unity until his death, working hard for the rejuvenation of the country, and the prosperity of the nation. He and our party are brave enough to spread the Dharma and benefit sentient beings, and guide religious believers to seek benefits for the people. He is Erdeni Quejijianzan, the 10th Panchen Lama of Tibetan Living Buddha.

01

Living Buddha represents the meaning of "incarnation" in Tibetan. It refers to those monks who have practiced and become Buddhas who are reincarnated as humans after their death, in order to continue to save sentient beings. There are a series of strict procedures for the reincarnation and recognition of the living Buddha. Once you are considered to be a reincarnated living Buddha, you can inherit the name and status of your previous life.

In the Tibet region before liberation, the two major living Buddha systems, Dalai Lama and Panchen Lama, were the local religious leaders, and they managed the former and later Tibetans respectively. As early as , in order to select the reincarnated living Buddhas fairly and justly, a golden urn drawing system was established.

Most living Buddhas will precept to become monks when they become adults, but because living Buddhas are born, they can choose to return to secular life after achieving certain achievements, and the identity of living Buddhas will not be changed by returning to secular life.

Without the identity of a monk, they can naturally marry and have children, and can continue to participate in Buddhist activities. However, after returning to secular life, they can no longer wear monk's robes. After marrying a wife, the 10th Panchen Lama Queji Jianzan no longer wore a cassock, but only a luxurious Tibetan robes.

10 Panchen Lama Queji Jianzan was born in Wendu Township, Xunhua County, Qinghai Province. When he was born, his family named him Gongbu Cidan, but just three years later, he was recognized as the reincarnated spiritual child of the Ninth Panchen Lama. In 1949, with the approval of the then acting president Li Zongren , he officially became the 10th Panchen Lama.

Although his legal status was determined by Li Zongren, as an unswerving patriot, when he heard about the liberation of Xining and the founding of New China, he immediately called the central government, hoping to liberate Tibet immediately.

In April 1951, he brought important officials to Beijing to actively promote the peaceful liberation of Tibet. After returning to Tibet, he was determined to maintain internal unity and guide believers to "maintain the reunification of the motherland and national peace like he cared for his own eyes."

But unfortunately, in that special era, he also suffered unfair treatment, but fortunately, with Premier Zhou's protection, he was spared from more serious consequences.

In the long-term loss of freedom, he learned Chinese by himself with just one Xinhua dictionary. In October 1977, he finally regained his freedom, but because some things were not handled well, he could not leave Beijing. During the period, he met the woman who changed him.

At that time, a tourist delegation led by the founding general Dong Qiwu, organized a tourist delegation to appreciate the beautiful mountains and rivers of the motherland. In terms of age, Ji Jianzan was the youngest among them, so he had a very common topic with the guards of similar age.

suddenly one day, he and the guard said that he wanted to get married. This surprised the guards a lot. He had never heard of a living Buddha getting married. But the guards didn't know many girls, so they found General Dong Qiwu's granddaughter Li Jie.

Li Jie was only 19 years old at that time. The guard thought that she must know many girls, and it should be the most suitable for her to be the matchmaker. However, he never expected that the two people who met for the first time were in love with each other.

19-year-old Li Jie is full of youth, and she is also a recognized beauty. She has good academic performance and a lively and cheerful personality.

In comparison, although 40-year-old Ji Jianzan is a little older, as a living Buddha, he has studied hard since he was a child, and the two are quite matched in terms of family background. However, Li Jie's family disagrees with everything because of Queji Jianzan's age and his monk status.

But no matter how the family objected, Li Jie himself recognized Queji Jianzan. In the end, their marriage application was approved by Mr. Deng. In June 1978, the two tied the knot, and Li Jie also said to Queji Jianzan: "I was sent by Buddha to test you." After marriage, the two of them worked together to maintain peace and stability in the Tibet area. Queji Jianzan guided believers to believe and support the leadership of the Party.

In 1989, during a ceremony, Queji Jianzan died suddenly due to heart disease at the age of 51.

conclusion

"How can I get the Dharma of both worlds in the world, and live up to the Tathagata and never let you down." This great living Buddha broke the past convention and married a wife and had a daughter. Although he was not favored by some people, he still sticks to his original aspirations. Not only did he shoulder the responsibilities and missions entrusted by religion, but he also had a precious and beautiful love.

Although his life was bumpy and short, no matter what the circumstances, he did not forget his mission and responsibility, and still spread the Dharma and benefit sentient beings, contributed his own strength to national unity and national unity.

And although he broke the convention, he still strictly abides by the precepts and no longer wears a cassock after getting married, but only wears a Tibetan robe. However, if you have a Buddha in your heart, you will practice everywhere, and he is still a great living Buddha worthy of admiration in the eyes of thousands of people.
