There is Baiyun Temple in the west, and there is 100 temples in the east. There is a temple built in Baijiansi Village, Changcun, Huixian City, which is about 1,500 years old. This is Baijiansi. For thousands of years, hundreds of temples have been incense. Eminent monks recite scriptures and preach the Dharma, and good men and women kneel down and worship. It is said that it was very prosperous during the Sui and Tang Dynasties.
Hundreds of temples are built along the mountain, with a staggered layout. The surrounding mountains stand tall, hence the name "Baijian Mountain Temple", which is abbreviated as "Baijian Temple". It is also called "Hundred Temples" because there are more than a hundred temples and houses in ancient times. The temple has a quiet environment and a grand scale.
The temple faces west and east. Due to some historical reasons such as the Cultural Revolution, there are only two courtyards. The remaining buildings include the Emperor Hall, the Ksitigarbha Hall, the Three Worlds Buddha Hall, the Grandma Hall, etc. There is also a stone tower and some stele carvings.
Now Baijian Temple has spent a lot of effort to build a new building, pavilions, towers, small bridges and flowing water. In my free time, climb the mountain path of hundreds of temples, pick some persimmons, and feel the story of time left over thousands of years.
My colleagues and I were interested in pushing stone mill and putting on the stone mill for a few rounds. The swings were swinging and the seesaw was playing!
Baijian Temple is next to Wulongshan Amusement Park. The lights are bright at night and the fountain is gushing out, which is very beautiful.
