On December 22, 2022, the Sixth Patriarch Ancient Temple in Yanyan, Guangdong entered the eighth day of the Three Altar Ordination , and it was the day when the novice monks were given the ordination.

In the past few days, under the guidance of the masters of the ceremony, all the precepts learned how to organize the class, invite the ceremony, practice exit the hall, enter the hall, solemn arrangement, Contents such as welcoming guests and giving gifts, teaching Chuan Haiqing, the rules of entering the hall, chanting in the first altar, etc. have also been studied and tested by the rules and etiquette such as checking the mantle, revealing sins and repenting, etc., and have begun to take on the majesty of novices. They finally ushered in the solemn moment of teaching the novice precepts in the first altar.

At 8 o'clock in the morning, all the preceptors lined up to wait and prayed earnestly for the Third Master to confer ordination. The main hall of the precepts is decorated with fragrant flowers and offerings, the Dharma pillars are hung high, incense smoke surrounds the beams, and Buddhist chants are melodious.

The representatives of the precepts went to the Reclining Buddha Hall under the leadership of Master Yinli, and asked the three masters to come to the precepts transmission hall to teach the ten precepts of novice monks to the precepts, so as to serve as a basis for practice and to gain the foundation for receiving sufficient precepts.

The three masters expressed their sincere praise and joy for all the disciples to obtain the novice ordination.
