The editor did a little research and believed that this photo is from the north side of the city wall outside Hanxi Gate of Nanjing. Not far from the left corner of the photo is Qingliangmen .
The reason for excluding the southeast corner of the city wall is:
1. The southeast corner of the city wall is the south wall of Wudingmen . It is almost a right angle and does not have the curved trend of the city wall in the photo.
2. In the photo, you can see that there are mounds or mountains inside the city wall, and they are higher than the city wall. This is not consistent with the characteristics of the southeast corner of the city wall.

This archway is located outside the city wall, and it is probably the only one in Nanjing.

Yiaifang is said to be Zeng Guoquan , and some say it is Zeng Guofan . The editor cannot make a conclusion here.
In short, there used to be such a stone archway in Nanjing, located outside the north wall of Hanxi Gate, the east bank of Qinhuai River, and north of Shicheng Bridge. It no longer exists.

Within the city wall are the remaining veins of Qingliang Mountain , and the former Boluo Mountain area, which is consistent with the characteristics of mounds or mountains within the city wall.
