The things that are placed in front of everyone and the most important things in the world are nothing more than two major things, one is life and the other is death! Life and death are the most important things in every life.
But have you ever thought that all life is actually for the sake of one death! It is not difficult for everyone to understand this principle. Because no matter how wonderful your life is, no matter whether you are rich or poor, no matter how many money, how many house, how many cars, how many sons you have... Everyone's final outcome is of course impossible to escape death! So we actually face only one problem in the end, and this is death! This is a fact!
But most of us only like to talk about life and are very taboo to talk about dead topics. Most of us even deliberately avoid it whenever we hear about death topics. Therefore, the topics we talk about and the most talked about every day are nothing more than how to live and how to live better. However, few people talk about dead topics, even make people feel scared of talking about them.
But since all life serves for one death, everyone will have to face death sooner or later! So while we are talking about how to live and how to live wonderfully, why not talk about death seriously?
Although there are many ways of dying in the world, everyone's way of dying is different, no matter how many ways people have, they can all be simply divided into two types: the first is to end life in pain (or heavy mood); the second is to end life with joy (or relaxed and happy).
The first way to die: at least 99% of people in the world belong to this way of death!
Haven't you seen that there are so many people in the world, except for a few who belong to suicide and accidental deaths (such as car accidents or disasters, etc.) - of course, these are also painful deaths.
Most of the rest of the people end their lives in illness, either dying on the hospital bed or on their own sickbed... And without exception, these people died in the end with reluctance to give up their lives, helplessly and unwilling to their own wishes! So let’s take a look at the lost lives around us. How many of them are not the ones who are struggling and surviving in the end?
Therefore, the above ways to end life belong to the first way of death - that is, ending life painfully and heavily, and most of them leave the world by lying down!
The second way to die: Unfortunately, perhaps only 1% of people in the world belong to this way of death!
One is those who die without illness, that is, they leave the world without illness and pain, so there is no pain, and most of these people are long-lived.
Second, those who sacrificed their lives heroically for the sake of others' lives, such as those martyrs who died bravely in the War of Liberation and the War to Resist U.S. Aggression and Aid Korea, those martyrs who sacrificed their lives to save others, etc., because they were righteous, determined and put life and death outside the moment before they sacrificed their lives, so their passing was not painful.
3 is those who practice, such as some monks , who can even predict when they are about to leave at any time, and will bathe and change clothes, burn incense and pray in advance, then sit on the ground, leaving the world in a peaceful and peaceful way...
Therefore, the meaning of practice is not only to practice what you do when you are alive, but also to practice the last journey (action) of your life!
Then these can all be called "fairy passing"! They all belong to the second way of death - that is, to end life with a happy (or relaxed and happy) mood, and most of them leave the world by standing or sitting!
To sum up, the first one leaves the world with a heavy or even painful mood, while the second one leaves the world with a relaxed or even pleasant mood. Therefore, although it is the end of life, the mood when leaving must be different, and the ending may be different, that is, the profound meaning contained in "the pure and light person floats upwards... the heavy and turbid person condenses downwards..." is understood by practitioners, so I will not explain it in detail here!
Of course, this is not something that we living can verify, but I personally think that there must be differences between these two ways of death. As for the difference, you might as well understand the meaning of practice! Moreover, our Chinese culture, especially "Explanation" and "Tao", serve this issue.
It can be seen from this that life is important, but death is even more important! Because everyone will never escape death in the end, but we still have a choice, that is, we must make a good choice before we die, and choose how we will end our lives in the future! And work hard to make your choices come true (of course it is not so easy to get what you want). This is practice - practicing every word and deed in life and the final act of life! And perhaps, this is the meaning of our coming to this world and the value of our life!
But unfortunately, how many people in the world will understand this truth!
