一場狗狗秀馬上就要開始了，誰獲獎了呢？是Floppy嗎？我們來看看吧！
Today let』s read Top Dog.
今天我們來讀《狗狗冠軍》。
We can see many dogs on the cover.
我們可以看到封面上有很多小狗狗。
What are they doing here?
他們在這裡做什麼呢？
They are all here for the dog show.
他們在參加狗狗秀。
The judges will choose the top 3 most beautiful dog breeds.
評委會選出最好看的狗狗。
I see a judge holding a cup which says 『TOP DOG』.
我看到一個評委拿著一個寫著「狗狗冠軍」的獎盃。
What do you think 『Top Dog』 means?
你覺得Top Dog是什麼意思呢？

Look at those dogs!
看看這些狗狗！
They are all sitting on the platform.
他們都坐在檯子上。
This one is Floppy.
這個是Floppy。
This one is a white dog with brown spots.
這是一隻身上有棕色斑點的白狗狗。
This one is a small, white dog with curly hair.
這是一隻小小的白色捲毛狗。
This one is a yellow dog.
這是一隻黃色的小狗。
This one is black.
這隻狗是黑色的。
Wow! Look at this dog. It is very big.
哇，看看這隻大狗！
There are a lot of people at the dog show.
有很多人來參加狗狗秀。
They have all come to see the beautiful dogs, and eager to find out which one will be the top dog.
大家都喜歡看這些漂亮的狗狗，想要看看誰會是狗狗冠軍。
「We like this dog. This is a little dog.」 said the judge.
我們喜歡這隻狗，這是一隻小狗狗，評委說。
The judge gives a medal to the small, white dog.
評委正在把一塊獎牌給這隻白色的小狗。
He won the 3rd prize.
它得了三等獎。
The dog owner is very happy.
這隻狗的主人看起來非常開心。
Oh no. I think the other dogs look quite disappointed.
但是，其他的狗狗看起來卻很失望。
「We like this dog. This is a big dog.」 said the judge.
我們喜歡這隻狗，這是一隻很大的狗，評委說。
This big, brown dog won the second-prize.
這隻棕色的大狗得了二等獎。
What are the other dogs doing?
其他的狗狗在做什麼呢？
Well, the black dog is looking at the big, brown dog.
看看這隻黑色的狗狗，他正在看著這隻棕色的大狗。
This poor yellow dog looks very upset.
這隻黃色的狗狗看起來很焦慮。
What about Floppy？
Floppy呢？
Floppy is just staring at the big dog.
Floppy正瞪大眼睛盯著這隻大狗。
「We all like this dog. This is the top dog.」 said the judge.
我們都很喜歡這隻狗，這只是狗狗冠軍。
The judge gives the first prize to a beautiful, white dog.
評委正把一等獎發給這隻白色的漂亮狗狗。
Both the owners and the dog are very happy.
狗狗和主人都很開心。
Wait! Did Floppy get an award?
等等！Floppy獲獎了嗎？
No. Oh, poor Floppy!
沒有。哎，可憐的Floppy！
He must be very sad.
他一定很傷心。
So are the children.
小朋友們同樣也不開心。
Where are they now?
他們現在在哪裡？
They are back at home.
他們回家了。
「We like Floppy best of all.」 said the children.
我們最喜歡Floppy了，小朋友們說。
They gave Floppy a special medal which says 『Best of All』.
他們給Floppy了一塊特殊的獎牌，寫了「最棒的狗狗」。
Look at Biff! She is giving Floppy a special cup -- a goblet.
看Biff！她正給Floppy一個特殊的獎盃：一隻高腳杯。
Is Floppy happy now?
Floppy現在開心了嗎？
Yes! Definitely!
是的，很開心！
That』s because every child in the family loves Floppy.
因為家裡的每個孩子都很愛Floppy。

這真的是一個非常溫馨的小故事呢，雖然Floppy沒有得到獎牌，但是小朋友們自己給Floppy頒發了一個獨一無二的獎。
禿頭叔叔帶著他家的小狗也來偷偷看這場狗狗秀啦，你找到他在哪裡了嗎？為什麼他的小狗沒有參加狗狗秀呢？
特別提醒
1. 每個寶寶的年齡不一樣，基礎不一樣，不需要完全按照以上文本來講。如果孩子感興趣，就多說一點，不感興趣就少說一點，都沒問題。
2. 只要孩子理解，或看圖能明白，或家長可以用肢體語言或者指物的方式讓孩子明白，就不要翻譯。
3. 如果實在不能理解，可以適當解釋，但不需要字對字翻譯。
