as the holiday of china's national day and the mid-autumn festival drew to a close, guangdong's cultural and tourism market once again delivered outstanding performance. from october 1st to 8th, the province welcomed 65.18 million visits, generating 61.32 billion yuan in tourism revenue, a year-on-year increase of 14.2%, with per capita spending of 940.8 yuan. cultural and tourism departments across guangdong organized nearly 3,000 holiday events, presenting a rich festive experience and a diverse range of tourism offerings.

"a friend of mine drove all the way from hainan to chaozhou in guangdong just to watch the yingge dance performance and taste chaoshan beef, a true immersion in local culture," said wen tong, director of the center for strategic management and professor of the school of management, jinan university. wen noted that cities across guangdong made thorough preparations for the "super golden week" holiday, with creative reinterpretations of traditional intangible cultural heritage emerging as a highlight of the tourism season.


a range of preferential policies in customs clearance has been introduced, and the cultural and tourism sectors across the guangdong-hong kong-macao greater bay area (gba) are flourishing. thus,"china travel" and "china shopping" remain hot. all 4a-level and above scenic areas in guangdong now have english reservation interfaces online, and multilingual signage in key locations has increased, thus minimizing service barriers for inbound tourists. guangdong has also worked with multiple departments to promote a convenient "instant tax refund" service, encouraging more merchants to qualify as tax refund-eligible stores and expanding coverage for foreign bank card acceptance.


the international tourism service platform "guangdong cultural tourism" has been launched, covering six sites, including chinese hong kong, malaysia, the united states, singapore, and japan. the launch of five curated travel routes, such as "a tale of two cities in gba" and "charm of chaoshan region," allows southeast asian and western visitors to better experience lingnan culture. mr. chen, a visitor from malaysia, stated, "from visa processing to site experiences, everything was very smooth. the yingge dance and kung fu tea in the chaoshan region left a lasting impression on me."

2025年國慶中秋雙節假期落幕,廣東文旅市場再度交出靚麗成績單:10月1日-8日,廣東全省接待遊客6517.6萬人次,實現旅遊收入613.2億元,增長14.2%,人均花費940.8元。全省文旅系統精心組織近3000場「迎國慶、慶中秋」系列文旅活動,全力奉獻高品質的節日文化大餐和豐富多彩的旅遊產品。
「我有朋友專程從海南開車來到廣東潮州,觀看英歌舞表演、品嘗潮汕牛肉,深度體驗了當地文化。」暨南大學戰略管理研究中心主任、管理學院教授文彤分享,廣東各地針對雙節假期做了充足的準備,傳統非遺的創新表達成為這個假期文旅市場的又一亮點。
一系列通關利好政策推出,疊加粵港澳大灣區文旅「多點開花」持續釋放吸引力,外國遊客「中國游」「中國購」持續走熱。目前,全省4a及以上景區均上線英文預約界面,重點場所多語種標識覆蓋率提升,為入境遊客掃清服務障礙。廣東省還聯合多個部門推出「即買即退」退稅便利措施,鼓勵引導更多商戶成為退稅商店,提升境外銀行卡受理覆蓋率。
線上國際旅遊服務平台「guangdong cultural tourism」上線,覆蓋中國香港、馬來西亞、美國、新加坡、日本等六大境外站點;「灣區雙城記」「潮汕風情」等五條精品線路的推出,讓東南亞、歐美遊客深度感受嶺南文化。來自馬來西亞的遊客陳先生表示:「從簽證辦理到景區體驗,全程都很順暢,潮汕的英歌舞和工夫茶讓我印象深刻。」
