on september 19th, the guangdong provincial bureau of statistics released data on the province's economic performance for the first eight months of 2025. the figures show that from january to august, the added value of industrial enterprises above the designated size in the province increased by 2.2% year-on-year. among them, the robotics and drone industries showed strong momentum, with the output of industrial robots, service robots, and civilian drones up 32.1%, 17.3%, and 54.7%, respectively. the output of wind turbine generator systems, solar cells (photovoltaic cells), and new energy vehicles rose by 43.3%, 81.5%, and 21.9%, respectively. investment in scientific research and innovation has increased, with expenditures on research and experimental development growing by 15.4%.
from january to july, service industries above the designated size in guangdong achieved operating revenue of 3.38 trillion yuan, up 7.0% year-on-year. from january to august, freight volume and freight turnover grew by 0.9% and 5.9%, respectively, while railway passenger volume and turnover increased by 5.8% and 3.6%, respectively. meanwhile, civil aviation passenger volume and turnover rose by 3.8% and 6.9%, respectively.
from january to august, the total retail sales of consumer goods in guangdong increased by 3.2% year-on-year. growth in automobile consumption accelerated, with sales of new energy vehicles above the designated size increasing by 4.1%, 0.9 percentage points higher than the growth recorded from january to july.
from january to august, investment in fixed assets declined by 12.4% year-on-year, but livelihood-related sectors and innovation-driven areas saw robust growth. specifically, investment in railways and air transportation grew by 9.7% and 37.2%, respectively, while investment in research and experimental development rose by 15.4% and investment in internet-related services surged by 63.8%.
機器人、無人機產量保持兩位數增長！廣東發布前8月經濟數據
9月19日，廣東省統計局發布前8月經濟運行數據。數據顯示，1—8月份，全省規模以上工業增加值同比增長2.2%。其中，機器人、無人機產業發展勢頭強勁，工業機器人、服務機器人、民用無人機產品產量分別增長32.1%、17.3%、54.7%，風力發電機組、太陽能電池（光伏電池）、新能源汽車產品產量分別增長43.3%、81.5%、21.9%。科研創新領域加大投入，研究和實驗發展投資增長15.4%。
1—7月份，全省規模以上服務業實現營業收入3.38萬億元，同比增長7.0%。1—8月份，貨運量、貨物周轉量分別增長0.9%、5.9%，鐵路客運量、旅客周轉量分別增長5.8%、3.6%，民航客運量、旅客周轉量分別增長3.8%、6.9%。
1—8月份，全省社會消費品零售總額同比增長3.2%。汽車類消費增速加快，限額以上新能源汽車增長4.1%，增速比1—7月份提高0.9個百分點。
1—8月固定資產投資同比下降12.4%，但民生與創新領域發力，鐵路、航空運輸業投資分別增長9.7%、37.2%，研究和實驗發展投資增長15.4%，互聯網相關服務投資增長63.8%。
