Ministry of Industry and Information Technology: The average mobile Internet access traffic per household reached 11.65GB in November

According to data from the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, from January to November 2020, my country’s cumulative mobile Internet traffic reached 149.5 billion GB, a year-on-year increase of 35.1%. In November, the average mobile Internet access traffic (DOU) per household reached 11.65GB/household·month, which was 3.06GB/household·month and 1.24GB/house·month higher than the average in December of the previous year and this year.

From January to November 2020, the traffic to the Internet via mobile phones is 141.7 billion GB, a year-on-year increase of 28.6%, accounting for 94.8 of the total mobile Internet traffic %.

At the same time, the decline in mobile phone call volume has narrowed, and the growth rate of mobile SMS business revenue has continued to pick up. From January to November 2020, outgoing calls on mobile phones completed 2.05 trillion minutes, a year-on-year decrease of 6.6%; callers on fixed-line calls completed 93.8 billion minutes, a year-on-year decrease of 15.1%. From January to November, the national mobile SMS business volume increased by 18.1% year-on-year, and the mobile SMS business revenue increased by 3.5% year-on-year.
