Since the first CIIE in 2018, Schneider Electric has appeared in this world-renowned international event for three consecutive years.
In 2020, Schneider Electric's booth area has nearly doubled compared to last year, and the number of contracts has increased by more than 50%. This is a microcosm of Schneider Electric's own development process that continues to deepen the Chinese market and wins more partners and customers. Counting the three years of Schneider Electric's entry into the Expo is a process of continuous product upgrades, more implementation of programs, more abundant applications, and continuous expansion of the circle of friends.
This year, facing the challenges of economic recovery after the epidemic, digitalization has played an increasingly important role. It can not only improve business resilience, improve efficiency, realize remote operation and maintenance, but also promote sustainable development. "Digitalization" is also the core theme of Schneider Electric's three-year exhibition, and every appearance has become a vane leading the digital transformation of the industry.
In 2017, Schneider Electric launched the EcoStruxure architecture and platform, which has become one of the important cornerstones of promoting the digital transformation of the industry. At the first CIIE in 2018, Schneider Electric vividly and intuitively demonstrated the four terminal market application scenarios based on the EcoStruxure architecture and platform. In 2019, with the continuous optimization and iteration of EcoStruxure's three-tier architecture, Schneider Electric's booth also added more interconnected products, more professional edge control software, and more complete digital end-to-end solutions covering the entire life cycle.
At the 3rd CIIE in 2020, Schneider Electric has brought a comprehensive upgrade of more digital, green, and open products and technologies, as well as more grounded end-to-end digital solutions, including pre-engineered digital genes. Smart low-voltage complete sets of equipment, using sulfur hexafluoride-free technology to greatly reduce the environmental impact of a new generation of medium-voltage switchgear, can promote the industrial field of industry collaboration EcoStruxure open automation platform. It is worth mentioning that this year Schneider Electric will bring 8 eco-partners together for the first time. This fully reflects Schneider Electric's development strategy of working with partners to promote the digital transformation of the industry.
As the CIIE gets better and better, the spillover effect is getting bigger and bigger, and Schneider Electric is gaining more and more on the CIIE platform. At the first CIIE in 2018, Schneider Electric successfully signed contracts with customers and partners from multiple key industries, and the number of contracts signed for the second session increased by 20%. Compared with last year, the number of contracts signed this year has increased by more than 50%, a new high.
At the same time, the industries covered by the contract are also expanding. From the initial industrial manufacturing, energy equipment, data center and other fields, it gradually expanded to electronics, food and beverage, life sciences, water treatment, cement, petrochemical, metallurgy and minerals, tobacco, commercial real estate, steel, electric power, railways, overseas headquarters Packaging, OEM, aviation, water affairs, e-commerce, engineering construction, commerce, logistics, etc., help users in these industries to practice sustainable development while improving efficiency.
After signing contracts at the first CIIE, many customers continued to hold hands with Schneider Electric at the second and third CIIEs. For example, with China Construction Third Bureau Installation Engineering Co., Ltd. in the low-voltage integration, Continuous in-depth cooperation in areas such as the integration of strong and weak electricity, as well as the in-depth development and R&D innovation of integrated energy business with Hangzhou Power Equipment. A series of digital collaborations, from landing, initiation, to blossoming and fruiting, are inseparable from the "matchmaking" of the China International Import Expo.
