Honor ’s 2022 is still going very smoothly. In the second quarter of this year, Honor shipped 13.1 million units in the domestic mobile phone market, with a market share of 219.5%. With a year-on-year growth of 288.6%, Honor ranked first in the country for the first time. 2022 is coming to an end, and Honor will also release the last mobile phone of this year, bringing a perfect ending to 2022.

On the morning of December 19, Honor announced that it will hold a full-scenario new product launch conference at 19:30 on December 26. Following the release of Honor X40 GT in October, it will launch a new product in the GT series - Honor 80 GT.

Since it belongs to the GT series that focuses on performance, it is also named with the prefix of Honor 80. Honor 80 GT will definitely have higher configurations than Honor X40 GT.

Honor X40 GT is equipped with Snapdragon 888 chip, and Honor 80 GT will go a step further and be equipped with a more powerful Snapdragon 8+ flagship chip. After the release of Snapdragon 8Gen2, Qualcomm moved Snapdragon 8+ to models in the 2,000 price range. Many new phones recently released have adopted this "everlasting" chip.

The previous Honor X40 GT successfully trained the dragon. With the blessing of the lower power consumption ShenU Snapdragon 8+, I believe that the Honor 80 GT can fully unleash the powerful performance of the Snapdragon 8+ and have better gaming performance.

According to the official warm-up posters and videos, the back design of Honor 80 GT is different from that of Honor 80/80 Pro. The camera module is a vertical matrix module. The front screen is expected to be a center-punch screen instead of the dual-punch "pill screen" of the Honor 80 Pro.

In terms of other configurations, the Honor 80 GT, like the Xiaomi Mi 13, also uses an ultra-narrow straight screen with four sides, a 1.5K resolution, 120Hz refresh rate OLED screen, and supports 1920Hz high-frequency PWM dimming. The camera parameters are not yet clear, but the battery capacity is around 4800mAh and supports 66W wired fast charging.

The Honor 80 Pro, which focuses on imaging, has a starting price of 3,499 yuan. As a GT model focusing on performance, the Honor 80GT will not be so high. It is expected to start at around 2,500 yuan, slightly higher than the 2,099 yuan of the Honor X40 GT (first selling price of 1,999 yuan).

GT is here again! Honor's final product in 2022, the Honor 80 GT with a four-sided extremely narrow straight screen similar to Xiaomi Mi 13 and equipped with Snapdragon 8+ chip, will be released soon. Are you looking forward to it?
