roadshow event, the nuclear technology application products brought by Yan Minhao, general manager of Sichuan Changyan Technology Co., Ltd., attracted everyone's attention.

Yan Minhao introduced that radioactive waste oil is a kind of radioactive waste generated during the operation of nuclear facilities. As such waste accumulates and temporarily stores in related facilities for a long time, the risks of leakage and pollution are increasing day by day. Due to the reliability, safety and cost, conventional methods are still far from the actual engineering and batch processing of radioactive waste oil. If the radioactive waste oil can be cured directly in the encapsulated container without stirring, it can be directly transported and disposed of. This method has obvious advantages in actual engineering applications.

In the 1990s, the United States first developed this curing and sealing material - the N910 series curing resin. This material has been used in related fields around the world for nearly 30 years and has maintained a monopoly position for a long time. In order to reverse this situation, Sichuan Changyan Technology Co., Ltd. established a technical research and development team in early 2021 to innovatively develop a new polyacrylic curing material with a large pore structure, breaking the foreign monopoly.

As of now, some series of cured materials products of Changyan Technology have achieved ton mass production capacity, and have conducted multiple hot verifications in many units such as China Engineering Physics Research Institute , China Nuclear Corporation and other units. Verification shows that the product can be replaced locally and gradually applied and promoted in engineering.
