In the global 5G market, Huawei is undoubtedly the top presence. This is not only because Huawei is more technologically advanced than competitors such as Nokia and Ericsson , but also because Huawei has accumulated more than 3,000 core patents through huge R&D investment year after year, and other manufacturers are out of reach.

However, Huawei's rise has aroused the fear of the United States. In order to hinder the development of my country's high-tech development, it has begun to frequently modify the rules in recent years, and has been increasingly suppressing high-tech Chinese companies such as Huawei. Especially the chip ban has caused the Huawei mobile phone business to almost halve, and it once fell into a survival crisis.

Faced with this discriminatory bullying behavior, Ren Zhengfei made it clear that peace is made, and we must use hard work and heroic sacrifice to create a peaceful environment for 30 years.

I guess the US did not expect that Huawei's "counterattack" would come so quickly and resolutely. Just recently, Huawei announced a major decision to formally file a lawsuit against US Internet giant Amazon, which was caused by Huawei's technology patent being infringed by the other party.

It is reported that the case will be held in the Suzhou Municipal Court on December 48. In the eyes of many industry insiders, Amazon probably won't be able to escape this time. Not only will it apologize to Huawei for the infringement, but it will also pay a huge amount of compensation.

The reason is very clear. Through its R&D investment of over 100 billion yuan per year, Huawei has accumulated a large number of core technology patents in the development process over the years, especially in the field of 5G, which no manufacturer can avoid Huawei. Moreover, since Huawei has filed a lawsuit, it must have evidence of Amazon's patent infringement.

In fact, Huawei’s original intention of applying for patents was not to charge patent fees like Western companies. The main purpose was to protect its scientific research results and prevent “patent hooligans” from coming to mess with them. Even Ren Zhengfei admitted that Huawei is developing too fast and too busy, and has no time to charge patent fees.

But now is different from the past. The suppression and oppression of Huawei has forced Huawei to slow down its progress. More importantly, under the "calling" of the United States, local American technology companies have moved and "draw a clear line" with Huawei without saying anything, without caring about the past cooperation friendship.

Therefore, in the increasingly heated technological competition between China and the United States, Huawei has no reason to be ruthless to US companies. What's more, Huawei's mobile phone business has plummeted due to the suppression of the United States. These patent fees can alleviate its own revenue pressure to a certain extent and contribute to the huge R&D investment every year.

In fact, this is not the first time Huawei has sued giant companies in the United States. Huawei went to court with Verizon, the largest communications operator in the United States, in 2021.

The reason is that Verizon is still using Huawei's technology patents after unilaterally terminated its cooperation with Huawei. Faced with Huawei's communications and negotiations, these American companies actually want to hide the truth.

But the result is obvious to all. In the face of absolute strength, any routine is in vain. In the end, Verizon took the initiative to seek a settlement with Huawei and paid Huawei $1 billion as agreed. In addition, dozens of large and small American operators have also accepted emails from Huawei asking for patent fees.

Regarding the suing of Amazon now, some experts said that Huawei is not only to protect its legitimate rights and interests, but also to make some companies in Western countries understand that Chinese companies are not so easy to bully. We welcome cooperation, but we will never tolerate bullying without bottom line, otherwise, there will be a price!

"Dignity is only above the sword edge, and truth is only within the range of the cannon." We have every reason to believe that Huawei's current toughness will inevitably achieve the effect of "one punch, no hundred punches come", and will also strive for more fairness for Chinese companies in the future development of the international market!
