TCL Recently, a new crowdfunding project - TCL Nxtwear S was launched on the Kickstarter platform. This is an smart glasses that provides a viewing experience of watching a 140-inch TV at about 13 feet. As of press time, the project has successfully raised $186,193, gaining 537 supporters, achieving crowdfunding goals.

This new smart glasses are built on the company’s previously launched Nxtwear Air, equipped with a micro OLED display that offers 1080p full HD viewing experience and 2D content, as well as many other notable features. The most important of these is compatibility with Windows and Android. TCL said that the Nxtwear S it designed is a popular smart glasses option and is currently only available through the Kickstarter platform crowdfunding.

TCL calls Nxtwear S a pair of smart glasses, which means you might immediately think of something like Google Glass. However, this product is completely different, and it is less of a smart device than a pair of highly portable screens packaged in a pair of relatively small and lighter frames. The company described Nxtwear S as providing users with a private viewing experience, including TCL’s claim of “movie-grade” audio clarity.

Smart Glasses contain some physical controls, including a volume regulator and a dial that can be used to switch between 2D and 3D viewing modes. The monitor sounds good, with over 90% DCI-P3 coverage and an overall rating of 47 pixels per degree. These glasses—which can also be used with iOS if you have an adapter—are paired with devices that use magnetic spring pin connectors, so don't expect a wireless experience.
