Four years later, Samsung finally eliminated the Galaxy Note 8

Galaxy Note 8 is one of Samsung’s most important phones in many ways. Not only must Samsung live up to the expectations of users after the failure of the Note 7, but the company must also release a large-screen handwriting device that is as good or better than the Galaxy S8 series. This is exactly what this Korean company did, and the Note 8, which was launched after learning from it, eventually became one of the best phones at the time.

Four years later, it's time to let the dust settle on this iconic model.

Galaxy Note 8 has been available as early as 2017. Driven by the shadow and pressure of Note 7, it brings a comprehensively improved appearance and internal design, and has dual cameras on the back. This is a turning point for Samsung's flagship device and the basis of subsequent models, and models after Note 8 have been getting better and better.

This phone has received two Android operating system upgrades, but unfortunately, it is not on the list of devices that will receive three upgrades. Similarly, Galaxy Note 8 did not receive an upgrade to Android 10 One UI 2.0.

Samsung has provided security updates for the Galaxy Note 8 for four years, and it receives updates every month. However, in October last year, the device was removed from the monthly update plan and changed to once every quarter. The last update was in August earlier this year. This will be the last update that the Galaxy Note 8 will receive. Because Samsung has removed the device from its update schedule, it will not get any more updates.
