On November 16, Jingdong Group released its 2020 third quarter financial report. The financial report shows that as of September 30, 2020, Jingdong Group achieved net income of 174.2 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 29.2%, exceeding market expectations; of which net service income reached 22.8 billion yuan, accounting for the first time that the proportion of overall net income exceeded 13% .
Specifically, in terms of users, in the third quarter, JD.com achieved a substantial increase in user scale and the number of active users. As of September 30, 2020, JD.com’s number of active purchasing users in the past 12 months reached 441.6 million. A year-on-year increase of 32.1%, the growth rate hit a new high in the past three years, with a net increase of more than 100 million active users a year.
In terms of the total number of employees, the current number of employees in JD.com listed companies and non-listed companies exceeds 320,000. Since the epidemic, it has added 60,000 new employees, while indirectly driving more than 18 million jobs.
In terms of warehousing and logistics, JD Logistics operates more than 800 warehouses. Including the cloud warehouse area managed by JD Logistics, the total storage area has reached approximately 20 million square meters.
In terms of supporting the recovery of the real economy, in the first nine months, 2004 brands had over 100 million GMV on JD.com, of which Chinese brands accounted for 81%. In addition, during the Double 11 period, the sales growth rate of 13,532 key brands exceeded 300%, and the transaction volume growth rate of third-party merchants was more than twice that of the same period last year, far exceeding the industry growth rate.
It can be seen that JD.com provides a large number of entity companies with customized supply chain services such as opening up omni-channels, transferring exports to domestic sales, helping Chinese companies to go overseas, reducing costs and increasing efficiency, and promotes domestic and international dual cycles.
