From the financial report released by SMIC, we can see that the growth rate of this company is too fast. In the first three quarters of this year, SMIC's total revenue was 37.764 billion yuan, increased by 48.85% year-on-year, and net profit attributable to shareholders was 9.39 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 28.3%.

Jiang Shangyi and Liang Mengsong are legendary figures in the history of chip development. It can be said that without these two figures, TSMC would not have had its current status, and Samsung Semiconductor also rose up with the addition of Liang Mengsong.
But what was unexpected was that these two figures who once held important positions at TSMC had some unpleasantness after joining SMIC, and even rose to a "incompatibility". In the end, the board of directors of SMIC had to choose one, abandoning Jiang Shangyi and leaving Liang Mengsong behind.
In November 2021, Jiang Shangyi left SMIC and joined in December 2020 to resign. Jiang Shangyi only stayed at SMIC for one year.
In fact, Jiang Shangyi joined SMIC as early as December 2016, which was earlier than Liang Mengsong, and Because Liang Mengsong joined in October 2017, the two characters were originally in a harmonious relationship, and helped SMIC achieve a breakthrough from 0 to 1.

After being respected, Liang Mengsong stayed, but Jiang Shangyi, who had only joined SMIC for a year, left again, which inevitably triggered speculation from all walks of life. SMIC gave up Jiang Shangyi.
Now Jiang Shangyi has a new destination. Hon Hai Company, a subsidiary of Foxconn , officially announced that Jiang Shangyi has joined Hon Hai Semiconductor and serves as the core semiconductor strategy chief. means that Jiang Shangyi and Liang Mengsong are on the opposite side and become competitors.
So SMIC gave up Jiang Shangyi and protected Liang Mengsong. Is this choice correct? What does it mean for SMIC?
The author believes that SMIC's choice is definitely correct. Although Jiang Shangyi is very powerful, he is mainly good at technical guidance. However, SMIC has not obtained EUV lithography machines now, so Jiang Shangyi may have thought that heroes are useless in the end!
