On November 3, Alibaba announced at of the 2022 Yunqi Conference that the self-developed CPU Yitian 710 has been widely used. 20% of the new computing power of Alibaba Cloud will use self-developed CPUs in the next two years. This is an important breakthrough in Alibaba 's computing power. At present, Yitian 710 has been deployed on a large scale in Alibaba Cloud data center and serves Alibaba and many Internet technology companies in the form of cloud. The computing power cost-effectiveness has increased by more than 30%, and the unit computing power consumption has been reduced by 60%. This is China's first self-developed CPU for large-scale cloud applications.
2021 Yunqi Conference, Alibaba Pingtou Ge released its first CPU chip, Yitian 710. This chip is developed for cloud scenarios, while taking into account performance and ease of use. After one year of business verification, Yitian 710 has been deployed on a large scale and provided cloud services. Yitian 710 cloud instances are integrated with Feitian operating system and CIPU, and the cost-effectiveness in core scenarios such as databases, big data, video encoding and codecs, and AI reasoning has increased by more than 30%; Alibaba Cloud provides rich ecological tools to support full application ecological adaptation, and 0 code modifications can complete the migration of mainstream business.
At present, Yitian 710 cloud instance has been applied to Alibaba Group core business, and serves scientific research, the smartphone industry and many well-known Internet companies. During the Double 11 period in 2021, Tmall Double 11 core trading system was smoothly migrated to Yitian 710 cloud instance, with computing power cost-effectiveness increased by 30%; Huili Technology's advertising inference business used Yitian 710 cloud instance, and its performance and network bandwidth were both improved, with cost-effectiveness increased by more than 40%.
Huili Technology Chief Artificial Intelligence Officer Zhu Xiaoqiang said: "With the continuous upgrading of the online inference model, we have higher requirements for CPU performance and intranet bandwidth. The Yitian 710 cloud instance meets our business upgrade needs and achieves cost reduction and efficiency improvement."
