Original title: DAOrayaki Research | The latest research perspectives and applications of DAO, Web3 governance (Vol.1)

Encryption world As an industry driven by mechanisms, the effectiveness of its mechanisms is crucial to the effective operation of the entire organization and even the ecology. Therefore, the DAOrayaki Decentralized Editorial Committee sorts out and interprets the latest research and applications of DAO and Web3 governance. This article is the latest research in the 2022Q3 quarter and the relevant research work for each study.

1. From the perspective of generalized dynamic systems, exploring encryption governance and incentive mechanism design

Generalized dynamic system (GDS) is a mathematical framework pioneered in the 1950s and 1960s. BlockScience applies it to the research and simulation of encryption governance and incentive mechanisms.

GDS is a natural environment that can consider problems arising from the computational implementation of autonomous and semi-autonomous decision-making problems with one or more constraints, nested into a framework, well-studied optimal control model, system dynamics, agent-based modeling and networking, etc. Special attention is paid to the mathematical structures that support the application of mechanism design. The conditional derivative method is defined together with the correlation metric, and GDS allows the study of the existence of state trajectories that satisfy system constraints. The system can also be interpreted as a discrete version of the differentially included, allowing the characterization of up to subspace and locally controlled trajectories of the state space. Meanwhile, the second and third parts of this study briefly describe and cover application and programming implementations, respectively, which explicitly demonstrate how GDS can be implemented through software using complex adaptive dynamics computer-aided design (cadCAD).

In addition to the above perspectives, Blockscience has conducted a series of research on issues such as governance vulnerability and governance attacks; for details, please refer to DAOrayaki's previous articles:

2. From the perspective of exchange theory, that is, blockchain without romance, explore the robustness of Web3 governance

The "romantic" view of blockchain governance is a collective choice and consensus through community voting. While exchange theory focuses on discovering opportunities for value creation in governance space through innovative protocols (e.g. Curve, Convex, Lido, Metagov, etc.) to facilitate the exchange of coordination and voting rights, these new mechanisms are through tools that support anonymous, composable and license-free governance operations. This is very similar to the exchange theory that James Buchanan once described public choice theory as "politics without romanticism" and advocated the establishment of politics. This study: Try to explore how web3 governance multicenter processes can generate robustness in decentralized systems through exchange theory.

3. Uncover the mystery of algorithm systems: Studying DAO governance from an ethnographic perspective DAO governance

As the application of automated decision-making systems becomes more and more common in digital infrastructure, governance and daily life, anthropology has become an indispensable part. That is, by explaining where people are and how they participate in the algorithm process, we can clarify the common constitutive relationship between humans and computing.

This also provides an interdisciplinary reference perspective for DAO research. In this article, a computer engineer and an ethnologist participate in and analyzes organizational resilience in DAO as a complex socio-technical system through novel ethnographic methodology and proposes a novel qualitative approach to organizational resilience and "fragility maps".

This provides certain inspiration and guiding significance for anthropologists to use qualitative anthropological technology to study "DAO" and for decentralized social organization, algorithmic governance and organizational flexibility.
