Amazon has discontinued Amazon Glow, an interactive video chat device focused on helping children and loved ones educate and entertain through the Internet amid the pandemic. Launched in 2021, Amazon Glow combines screens and projectors to give kids access to a wide range of entertainment and educational content. The video screen connects the child to the remote personnel on the other end of the video call, and at the same time projects the game space onto a silicone pad where parents and children who are not in the same place can participate.

But obviously, sales did not meet expectations, resulting in Amazon canceling the product.
"At Amazon, we think about problems, experiment, and invest in new ideas to please customers," said Amazon spokeswoman Christy Schmidt, who confirmed the cancellation of the Glow business. "We are also constantly evaluating the progress and potential of our products in providing customer value, and we make adjustments based on these evaluations regularly. We will share updates and guidance with Glow customers soon."
Amazon's Glow includes entertainment and educational content, such as built-in checkers and Go games, as well as puzzles, thousands of books, and a free painting app. Glow can also scan real objects into works and do interesting things, such as rearranging a puzzle by smashing kids' favorite toy pictures on the screen.

Amazon also works with film companies to provide brand experiences from Disney, Matts , Sesame Street and Nickelden, but kids can only watch videos when calling approved adults.
The device retails for $300, but members of Amazon's Prime plan can be purchased on Tuesday for a clearance price of $150, which is 55% of the listing price, and will be sold out.
