Xiaomi Smart Industrial Park is the third park project established by Xiaomi Group in Beijing after Xiaomi Mobile Internet Industrial Park and Xiaomi Electronics Industrial Park. It is also an important R&D base and talent base for Xiaomi Company.

Innovative, open, free and shared office space
As Xiaomi self-use office space, the project confirmed two important design principles with the owners at the beginning of the design: implanting the Internet spirit of innovation, openness, freedom and sharing into the principles of design and the principle of pursuing the ultimate but avoiding over-design.

Embed a suspended platform and an open staircase in the lobby space with a width of 70 meters to create a space with more communication functions and full of interaction. This enables the entire lobby and the second floor space to form a functional and streamlined connection, and together become an innovative, open, free and shared public space for the entire building.

On the south side of the lobby, it uses the highly embedded suspended platform of the lobby itself to form two shared functional spaces: the shared coffee area below the platform and the shared negotiation area above the platform.

The design team has implanted the principle of pursuing the ultimate design and rejecting excessive design in Xiaomi’s product design concept into the space design concept.

, a hollowed-out staircase is designed on the north side of the lobby. The step sharing space can hold temporary exhibition activities for hundreds of people, and the steps below continue to be used as a rest and waiting area to meet the high-frequency and large-capacity visitor reception needs of Xiaomi Company.

Rationally restrain the pursuit of minimalist design language
The entire lobby space is made of minimalist material, white artificial stone , anodized aluminum plate , and wood veneer form a simple geometric shape. The details are pursued to the extreme, the wall aluminum plate size reaches 2400*7000, and all the mechanical and electrical equipment with complex ceilings are hidden through the design of the solution.

The public areas of the office space above the second floor continue to rationally restrain the pursuit of the ultimate design concept. The simple elevator hall space material is composed of white artificial stone, dark gray stainless steel, and wooden finish, full of Xiaomi characteristics.

bathroom adopts the material configuration of white artificial stone and anodized aluminum plate in the lobby. Through the combination of spot light, surface light and light seepage, the soft and technological texture of the aluminum plate is reflected.

Xiaomi’s corporate philosophy involves two basic concepts: representing the high interconnection and exchangeability of the “Internet of Things” and the high-end product design style. The clear and concise design makes the use of Xiaomi products very intuitive and lastingly attractive, realizing the theme of "smart technology, minimalist design". The project design is based on the spirit of the Internet and Xiaomi's product design concept to create an office space that conforms to Xiaomi's innovative quality. The combination of minimalist form and composite functions is a direct reflection of Xiaomi's brand philosophy.
The escalator leading to the underground space and the stairwell passing through the second floor platform are all covered with wood veneer.
