I watched this movie in the early 1970s and can't remember the plot now, but there are a few points that left the deepest impression on me: one is that I saw a huge mine in the movie for the first time, the second is that the clothes and hairstyles of the characters in the movie

In the 1960s and 1970s, there were only so many music that could be heard, and the styles were relatively close. They were all the same kind of march-style music full of "positive energy", passionate from beginning to end, and "especially able to boost energy". Those waltz and other songs and music with traces of "sweeping fighting spirit" have long been swept into the garbage dump as "four olds". It is precisely because of this that our children have become extremely sensitive to the lyrical music they hear by chance, and have made actions that seem very ridiculous today.

tell a story that happened to me. In my memory, the first waltz I heard was from the " Danube Wave Wave Wave " from the Romanian movie " Danube Wave ". I watched this movie in the early 1970s and can't remember the plot now, but there are a few points that left the deepest impression on me: one is that I saw the huge mine for the first time in the movie, the second is that the clothes and hairstyles of the characters in the movie are very beautiful, which is better than the Albanian movie, and the third is that the music of this movie is really nice.

"The Wave of the Danube" is the movie I have watched the most times in my life, no doubt about it. I watched this movie seven times just to listen to this waltz. I watched the first two times from beginning to end. Later, because I was familiar with the plot of the movie, I just went to listen to this music, so I left after listening to it. This way of watching movies is quite unique, but in fact, many people at that time watched movies like this, going to the cinema just to watch a certain plot or even a certain shot. For example, there is a movie called " Old Gun ", which contains a completely nude shot of Rommy Schneider. Someone bought a ticket and entered the scene after getting ready. After watching this shot, he left immediately. At that time, I was still working as a side job of reselling movie tickets in my spare time. The movie tickets for "Old Gun" can be sold at a high price just like "Three Smiles". When I was watching "The Wave of the Danube", I was able to basically hum the song almost completely with the records in the movie. This is also the first Western music that I came into contact with in addition to "Hurry up the mountain" and "The Flower Girl" and "The Women of Nanjiang Village".

Perhaps "early things are good" is a common problem for people, because the things they first come into contact with leave a deep impression on people, and are especially associated with "the beauty of teenagers", so these are the easiest objects of nostalgia. I am no exception. I have always loved "Water Dance of the Danube". Whenever I hear this song, I will remind you of the joy of watching movies at that time. It is hard to say how happy I was. Anyway, I think I am happy today. In fact, when you think about it, people will unconsciously project some beautiful things onto their early experiences, otherwise they will deny the meaning of their life. Therefore, when people are old, they are particularly prone to nostalgia, and they will repackage their old experiences and feelings in their minds, retaining only the best memories. This is probably the case that many people, especially the elderly, are still applauding them when they talk about the Cultural Revolution. As for some young people who have not experienced that era personally, out of their imagination today, they will also beautify that era and completely forget what is clearly pointed out in our party’s resolution: History has determined that the “Cultural Revolution” is a civil strife that was wrongly launched by leaders and used by counter-revolutionary groups, bringing serious disasters to the party, the country and people of all ethnic groups.

is far away, let’s talk about music. After smashing the Gang of Four, we began to gradually abandon those left-handed things, and foreign music began to be carefully introduced into people's lives. In addition to the electronic music that is first heard in the theme music of the Romanian movie "Boiling Life", foreign songs have also begun to appear. What impressed me deeply was that the first foreign song I heard on the radio "One Song Every Weekly" was "Several Songs that Comrade Lenin loved", which was probably the "first ice breaker" of our "cultural thawing".At that time, three songs were specially introduced, namely "The Revolutionary Song of Warsaw", "Glorious Sacrifice" and " Comrades Bravely Advance ". When talking about these three songs, they also had to point out their "revolutionary nature" and the reason why Comrade Lenin loved these songs. Listening to a song was the same as before a political class. But there is nothing we can do about this. After all, just coming out of that era, there are inevitably some sequelae.

Not long after, the "Monday Song" on the radio introduced American songs to people for the first time, which opened my eyes. I still remember clearly that the first American song I heard was "Seven Daffodils". The announcers at that time still maintained the passionate "broadcasting accent" of the Cultural Revolution. They first introduced the song "very popular among the American people", and then recited the lyrics translation in a straightforward manner: "...kiss you and give you seven daffodils."

By the way, the "weekly song" on the radio at that time had a great impact. Remember that this program was broadcast three times a day, for 15 minutes each time. You will first listen to the song background. If it is a foreign anthem, you will also introduce the translation of the song, and finally let you listen to it again. So, after a week of repeated listening, many people can learn it. At that time, whenever the program was broadcast, I would hold a pen and a notebook and try my best to record the lyrics and music scores. Shortly after the broadcast of "Seven Daffodils", "Red River Valley", "Hot Me Home, Country Roads" and "Five Hundred Miles" were broadcasted in the "One Song of the Week". Later, I bought an English song for the first time at the newsstand, which contained the popular song "Sing A Song".

All of this constitutes my memory of all the foreign music in that era.
