After pushing each other, the merchant owner had to accept the five Jin people and entertain Ma Liang's food and accommodation. The next day, Ma Liang said goodbye, and the merchant owner said, "I have accepted the five golden men you returned. I will give you five bundles of hemp. It is okay to take them back for use, right?" Ma Liang said, "Thank you, thank you, mah, I will accept them."
Ma Liang went home, opened the bundle and saw that there was a golden man wrapped in one bundle. Ma Liang was so moved that he burst into tears. Why is this merchant owner like this? Ma Liang thought that since things have come to this point, he had to go down and talk about it in the future.
However, this year, the abbot of Jinshan Temple in Zhenjiang wanted to expand the construction because the temple was too small and dilapidated, and invited the rich men from Jiangnan and north to discuss donating money to build it. After hearing the abbot's idea, the rich men felt that it was not a small number, and they looked at each other and were silent. Seeing that everyone refused to pay, Ma Liang took a first shot and said, "Building a temple is a great event with great merit. No matter how much money you spend, you have to build it. Look, how much each person pays, I, Ma Liang, will never retreat." Other rich men looked at Ma Liang with sarcastic eyes, and one of the rich men in Jiangnan said, "Ma rich men have a big family business, so they should have more." Many people agreed in unison: "Yes, yes!"
Someone said, " The rich man Ma pulled out the root hair thicker than our waist. "Ma Liang heard what was in his ears and stood up and said, "Okay, I will build the temple by myself." A rich man in Jiangnan attacked and said, "You can build it by myself? If Jiangnan does not allow you to take soil, how can you build it?" Ma Liang said, "I, Ma Liang, built Jinshan Temple alone, and don't need half a shovel of mud in Jiangnan." In order to show his determination to build Jinshan Temple alone, Ma Liang took paper and pen, wrote down what he said, and showed it to everyone present.
Once a word is made, it is hard to pursue. After Ma Liang returned home, he used hundreds of boats to get soil from his farmland and transported it to the Jinshan Temple riverside. But the river flowed eastward, a boat of mud was thrown into the water, and was immediately swept away by river flow . Seeing this situation, Ma Liang immediately changed his mind. Several ships of mud were placed in one place at the same time, but were swept away by the ruthless river. Ma Liang was helpless and was annoyed and melancholy. Because his feat alarmed God, Guanyin Bodhisattva from the South China Sea came to the sky above the Jinshan Temple river with auspicious clouds, pulled out the hairpin on his head and inserted it into the water by the river. The place suddenly stopped flowing, as horizontal as a mirror. From then on, the soil fell into the river and sank silently. After years of shipping, Ma Liang's farmland became a slaughter. Because his surname was Ma, people called this slaughter Ma family slaughter.
The construction of Jinshan Temple was successful, and Ma Liang's family was exhausted, so he had to make a living by begging. But in people's eyes, he is an unreasonable person, and he is simply the number one fool. People would rather give alms to other beggars than give him porridge. In a helpless situation, he came to Jinshan Temple. He thought that the abbot of Jinshan Temple would give him some food.
In theory, he spent all his property on building Jinshan Temple, so it would be no problem to go there to ask for food.
But when the abbot saw him, he ordered the little monk: "Close the temple gate quickly." No matter how Ma Liang shouted, the temple gate just didn't open.
The little monk talked privately, saying that the master was too toxic and that he had repaired the temple and didn't even give him a bite of rice porridge, which was too unkind. But the little monk couldn't make a decision, so he had to listen to the pitiful shouts outside the door. After several days of succession, the shouts outside the door gradually became weaker. A young monk couldn't bear it and stole three rice dumplings for Ma Liang to eat, which made Ma Liang live for another three days. Later, no longer could hear the shouts, the little monk opened the temple door and saw that Ma Liang was dead, so he immediately reported to the abbot.
"It's okay to die. It's okay to die!" The abbot said, and immediately instructed the little monk to use a thick rope to hold up Ma Liang's body, drag it around the temple, and turned 15 times. The body's skin was broken and flesh exposed, revealing the bones. The little monk felt distressed, so he secretly cut the rope and reported to the abbot that the rope was broken. The abbot sighed and said, "He is not lucky." The little monk asked, "Master, why do you say he is not lucky?" The master said, "He can only be a country for 15 years!" The little monk regretted it and connected the ropes to continue dragging it, but after only three rounds, the joints dispersed.
It is said that Shunzhi Emperor was the birth of Ma Liangzhao. Shunzhi was the emperor for 18 years. In the first 15 years, the country was prosperous and the people were safe. In the next three years, the war was in chaos and the storm was in turmoil. The little monk stole three rice dumplings for him to eat, and the emperor's wife gave birth to Shunzhi three days later. The situation where the young monk dragged Ma Liang's body around the temple was exactly the same as the situation where Emperor Shunzhi was building a country.
