The story takes place in the Northern Song Dynasty. There is a girl named Zhu Yuniang at the foot of Taihang Mountain. Zhu Yuniang is the daughter of a hunter and her family is relatively poor. In the autumn of that year, Zhu Yuniang went to the mountains to pick mushrooms. Before leaving, her father, Old Man Zhu, told her to pay attention to safety on the way.
Zhu Yuniang walked quickly along the way. In less than half an hour, she came to a mountain. When Zhu Yuniang was about to pick mushrooms, there was a sudden noise from nearby. She looked around and finally found a man lying in the grass not far away.
Zhu Yuniang was frightened when she saw the man. She saw that the man was covered in blood and seemed to have fallen off the cliff.
Zhu Yuniang found that the man was unconscious and worried that his life would be lost, so she borrowed a cart from a nearby family and transported the man to her home.
When Zhu saw that the man was seriously injured, he hurriedly invited a doctor. After seeing the man with illness, the doctor prescribed a prescription, gave a few more words, and then left.
Just as Zhu Yuniang bandaged the man's wound, the man slowly woke up. The two started chatting, and then Zhu Yuniang learned that the man's name was Zhen Caiju. He liked hunting on weekdays. This time, he accidentally fell off a cliff while chasing a deer.
Seeing that Zhen Caiqiu was seriously injured in his leg and could not walk for a while, Zhu Yuniang took the initiative to say, "Young master, just stay here with peace of mind, and leave when the injury is healed."
Zhen Caiju saw that Zhu Yuniang was willing to take him in, so he nodded and agreed.
Half a month later, Zhen Caiju's injury improved and he was finally able to get out of bed and walk. Just as Zhen Caiju was walking outside the house with a cane, he happened to see his servant Agui coming to find him.
A Gui was shocked when he saw Zhen Caiju. He learned that it was Zhu Yuniang who saved her master.A Gui was very grateful to Zhu Yuniang. After thanking him, he hurriedly took Zhen Caiju home.
The next day, when the old man Zhu called Zhu Yuniang to get up for dinner, he found that Zhu Yuniang was sleeping. He was worried that she would have a bad time, so he hurried to hire a doctor.
When Old Man Zhu passed a mountain road, he found an old beggar beside the road moaning in pain. After asking, Old Man Zhu learned that the old beggar accidentally scratched his foot by a sharp stone while walking barefoot.
When Zhu saw that the old beggar could not walk, he said at the time: "Old sir, I happened to go to the town. I will carry you to see the doctor." The old beggar nodded in agreement.
After the old man Zhu carried the old beggar, he continued to rush. When passing by a cave, the old beggar suddenly said, "There are two people there to meet privately." Old Man Zhu looked around and saw no one.
The old beggar applied the cow's tears to the eyelids of old man Zhu. Then the old man Zhu discovered that there were indeed two people in the cave, which were Zhu Yuniang and Zhen Caiju.

The old beggar said to Old Man Zhu: "A person has three souls and seven spirits. The Zhu Yu Niang you see is actually her soul. As long as the soul enters the orifice, Zhu Yu Niang can wake up."
Old Man Zhu hurriedly shouted to Zhu Yu Niang in the cave: "Yu Niang, don't stay here, go home quickly!"
When Old Man Zhu finished calling, the two people in the cave suddenly disappeared. At this time, Old Man Zhu found that the old beggar was no longer visible, so he hurried home to see what was going on.
After returning home, Zhu found that Zhu Yuniang had woken up, so he asked, "What happened?"
Zhu Yuniang said, "Since Zhen Caiju left, I miss him very much. When I saw Zhen Caiju appear at night, my soul broke away from my body and went out with him. The two met in the cave."
The next morning, just as Zhu Yuniang was about to go to the river to wash clothes, Agui brought the matchmaker over and said to Zhu, "Since my young master went back, he has missed Ling Ai day and night, and begged the old senior to agree to this marriage."
Old man Zhu was very happy after hearing this, and immediately agreed.
After Zhu Yuniang married Zhen Caiju, the couple was very loving. Not long after, Zhu Yuniang became pregnant and later gave birth to a pair of twins. The family lived a harmonious life.
