On this day, he saw large oak trees. The canopy of this oak tree is enough to cover thousands of cows. The tree circumference is ten feet thick, and the treetops are facing the top of the mountain. The tree body only starts to branch until it reaches eighty feet. The locals regard it as the tree god . But the carpenter's stone was not seen and kept walking his way. The apprentice became strange. He said, "I have never seen such a magnificent tree before. Why don't you feel anything at all?"
craftsman stone replied, "Stop it! This tree is called big and useless. It must sink when it is a ship, a coffin must rot, it will break when it is made into a vessel, it will not fit in the door, and it will be worm-eaten when it is made into a beam, and it will be worm-eaten when it is made into an unsophisticated tree. You see So many people have watched it and become the god of oak. That is because it is just a loose wood and has no use."
The lesson in the dream awakened ordinary people

This is the case with the trees, and the same is true for the things in the world. Uselessness has made the great use of my life. Do you think you are an individual, and you can measure my oak by your standards. Comment on the head , pointing fingers; in fact, you are just something between heaven and earth. You say I am 'sanmu', why are you a dying person, or a dying person? How do you laugh at the uselessness of Sanmu? Do you understand the principle of uselessness?

Craftsman Stone: "Shut up, don't say that! Its big and useless style is a kind of entrustment in the soul, not to achieve anything, it seems unique. This is a way to preserve it after you understand your destiny. It is of course not to be able to view it with the utilitarian of ordinary people. "
In fact, this tree god can also be said to be the incarnation of Zhuangzi. Zhuangzi's life philosophy emphasizes "forgetfulness", and ignore all the utilitarian "usefulness" such as fame, wealth, and beauty. This is called "I lost myself", that is, don't care too much about what you are like in the eyes of others, don't care too much about whether a practice can directly bring utilitarian results. Forget it is not about finding poverty without any trouble, but let it go.
