Kit Kat's Encounter

June 25th this year was the last day for our group to travel to Guizhou. The air tickets we booked were from Xingyi to Changsha at 12:40 noon. At nearly ten o'clock in the morning, we were waiting for the bus to the airport in an open space next to the Cuckoo Hotel in Xingyi City. I saw some broad-leaved plants (Alpinia japonica) with a height of more than two meters that I had never seen nearby. The flowers were blooming beautifully, so I walked over and took a few photos.

Then he returned to the tour bus and started talking with people.

At this time, a senior woman in the crowd looked at me and suddenly asked me my surname. I joked that my surname is male, male (surname), and hugged the shoulders of my friend Mr. Gong and said, both of us are male ( surname).

Seeing my teasing, the woman changed her words and asked, "Is your surname Deng?" At this point, it was hard to continue the joke, because a story was bound to happen.

I said, yes!

She was pushing the envelope, and then asked: "Are you screaming~"?

I thought, at this time in a foreign land, she could actually call me by my name. Now she must have met a real Bodhisattva, so her eyes lit up and she immediately returned to her house: "Yes"!

At this time, I involuntarily opened my eyes and looked at the other person: She was about sixty years old, about one meter sixty-seven meters tall, with the figure of a northern woman, big eyes..., a miraculously popped up in my mind. When the name came up, she immediately pointed at the other person and said, "Are you Zaixin Yazi?!"

She immediately corrected her and said, "Zaixin is my brother, and I am Laixin!" Oh, I changed the names of her siblings. Confused, I immediately corrected it: "Yes, yes, come on, come on!"

Laixin, a name that has not been forgotten in the past sixty years!

In 1962, I went to primary school. The school is called Shanshutang Primary School. It got its name because there is a pond called Shanshutang in front of it. It is located on Miaozui. The school building belongs to a family named Li. It is to the north of my hometown, about three miles from home. Not far from Jinjiang River in the west. I attended school there for one year, and in the second year I transferred to Shantang Primary School east of my hometown. It's about three miles away from this school. The school is very close to the river. At that time, we all called the Jinjiang River a small river and the Xiangjiang River a big river.

The reason for transferring to another school is unclear, but it may be related to the fact that my uncle is the principal of this elementary school. The uncle was born in 1930, so he was in his early thirties. At that time, the school was small, with only four teachers. Laixin's mother was named Yang Endao, and she was one of them. The four teachers all live in the school, get along day and night, and have a deep friendship. At that time, only Teacher Yang was married. She has two children, both very young. The older one is a girl, named Laixin, and the younger one is a boy, named Zaixin, which is a combination of the Chinese character "好". I was transferred to Shantang Primary School in the autumn of 1962, when Laixin was about three years old. I studied here for three years. When I graduated in the summer of 1965, Lai Xin was already a little girl over six years old. In the nearly sixty years since then, it seems that I have never seen Laixin again in my memory, but I have always remembered her name.

The world is so big despite the vast sea of people, but coincidences always happen in this world. I came to Guizhou for an eight-day trip. Laixin and I were actually in the same tour group. We took the same tour bus every day and stayed in the same hotel every day, but we didn't know each other every day. However, the interesting thing is that our meeting happened just a few minutes before leaving the hotel to drive to the airport! To this day, I don’t know what I’ve exposed these days, and I don’t know when Laixin noticed me and contacted me with my name. I vaguely felt that it might be God's special arrangement that led to such an itinerary and such a wonderful meeting.
