Andrew Robertson revealed what he said to Darwin Nunes , who was "really angry" at the halftime of the Liverpool win over Ajax .
Nunes made a terrible mistake before halftime, and when Roberto Firmino passed the ball to him, he hit the post and the ball was at his mercy.
But the 23-year-old made up for his mistake, scoring a cute header in the second half for the second goal of Red Devils in a 3-0 victory over Netherlands .
Robertson won some honors for Nunez's goal, and he told the Uruguayan at halftime that he was sure he would put his head on one of his crosses, although he wasn't entirely sure he "understands" what he was talking about.
"We have control. Darwin was very angry that he missed the opportunity during the break," Robertson told BT Sports.
"I was sitting next to him in the locker room and I don't know if he understood what I said, but I said I would put a cross and you would score no problem. Maybe I need to say it more often.
"When we got the second goal, the cushion of the two goals was obviously dangerous, but it was also good, and we then got a lovely goal from Harvey.
Rio Ferdinand said Nunes made you "scratch your head", but was sure he would be the "effective striker" of Juergen Klopp.
"For him, there are good and bad moments," Ferdinand said .
"He had a cold night. When he was with him, you just scratched your head, but then he scored the goal, that's what you bought him.
Ferdinand listed his best qualities and told BT Sport: "He always tried to get into the penalty area and scored goals, his head never fell off, he was tenacious, he wanted to graft and fight. This is definitely a plus and you want to be with you.
"He will never be the cleanest forward, but in the long run he will be an effective forward. An effective forward, scoring goals in this football club.
"As a defender, he will have a hard time playing against it, he will give a lot of defenders a day of hard work.
