According to the relevant provisions of the "Xi'an Science Popularization Demonstration Base Recognition and Management Measures", 24 units including the National Time Service Center Time Science Popularization Base are planned to be recognized as the first batch of Xi'an science popularization demonstration bases. The public announcement time is December 26 to December 30, 2022.

Xi'an is rich in science and education resources and has strong innovation capabilities. Focusing on giving full play to the advantages of science and education resources, strengthening the "wing of science popularization" and helping innovation drive the development of , Xi'an has carried out a number of explorations. Since September this year, Xi'an City has carried out more than 490 activities in the National Science Popularization Day series. These colorful and diverse science popularization activities focus on themes such as rural revitalization, ecological civilization construction, carbon peaking carbon neutrality, and safety production, providing the public with a feast of science popularization.
On November 10, Xi'an Association for Science and Technology signed a strategic cooperation framework agreement with Xi'an Culture and Tourism Bureau . According to the agreement, both parties will leverage their respective advantages in policies, resources, talents, information, etc. to jointly build a science popularization education base and a team of science popularization experts. By establishing a long-term mechanism for resource sharing, they will provide broader channels for the general public to obtain authoritative science popularization resources. Since the beginning of this year, Xi'an has designated and named 54 municipal science popularization education bases, and 2 venues have been named provincial science popularization education bases. In the process of vigorously promoting the construction and sharing of science popularization venues, a "1+N" science popularization venue system with Xi'an Science and Technology Museum as the center and supplemented by science popularization education bases, mobile science and technology museums, campus science and technology museums, and science popularization caravans is taking initial shape.
