Starting from November 1, 2022, EAPO has begun to accept applications for invention or industrial design patent granting in Eurasia, including patents whose application objects are 3D models. In introducing this feature, EAPO draws on the technical experience of Rospatent, the first institution in the patent offices of EAPO member states to implement 3D models in its programs. Beginning to accept the application of 3D models will not only enable applicants to more fully visualize the applied innovation and creativity, but will also improve the review efficiency of Eurasian applications.
