To date, Japan has had a total of 12 astronauts who have been to space. Among them, some retired and some resigned, and Sora Furukawa is one of them who is still in JAXA. It is admitted that in the cosmic medical ground experiment led by Satoshi Furukawa, there are many acts of tampering with data and fabricating data that does not exist at all.
This study on "mental stress" was conducted at the JAXA Ibaraki R&D Center from 2016 to 2017.
At that time, volunteers of "closed environment experience" were publicly convened to the public. Through the 13-night and 14-day experiment, we can provide development data for the methods of astronauts being able to synchronize their psychological stress during their long-term stay in space in the future.

Experimental cabin is located in the astronaut training building at JAXA Tsukuba Cosmic Center. The participants' living arrangements are completely based on the space station mode. Calls with external calls are only allowed to speak with the Control Center. You cannot bring your mobile phone and other items in there, and you cannot smoke or drink during the experiment.
Every morning, volunteers face the surveillance camera on the ceiling and receive consultation from external psychologists.
The door of the experimental cabin is very heavy, but it is not locked. I want to go out at any time, but once I go out, the experiment will stop.
This time the experiment of falsification of data exposed is the fifth "closed environment experience" conducted by the project. I don’t know what I thought, it’s just tampering with the data, but I even fabricated data that doesn’t exist at all.
JAXA judged that the behavior was inconsistent with the ethical principles of medical research stipulated by Japan's state, so on November 25, officially reported to Ministry of Science and Technology on , and held a reporter to admit the matter in the afternoon of the same day and bowed to the public to apologize.
At the press conference, JAXA also said: As the head of the research team, Satoshi Furukawa has supervision and management responsibility for this matter, but he did not directly participate.
and believe that data fraud is different from Satoshi Furukawa's astronaut qualifications, and will not affect his return to space in 2023.
