At the China Air Show, Liu Ruopeng, chairman of Guangqi Technology, told the reporter of Southern Finance and Economics, "The fourth generation of metamaterial technology is a new generation of metamaterial technology that can realize the engineering application of three-dimensional metamaterials. Compared with the previous generation of metamaterial technology, it has achieved major technological breakthroughs from two-dimensional to three-dimensional three-dimensional design and upgraded and improved metamaterial manufacturing process."

At the same time, Liu Ruopeng said that the fourth generation of metamaterial technology has three major characteristics. First, it has an order of magnitude improvement in many key indicators, second, it has a larger ultra-large bandwidth characteristic, and third, it is the process manufacturing structure, which can make the weight lighter.

Acceleration of Metamaterial Industrialization

In recent years, my country has attached great importance to metamaterial research. With the support of the country and the efforts of scientific researchers, China's metamaterial technology has developed rapidly. At present, my country has achieved original results in some research content, including basic research such as electromagnetic black holes, metamaterial stealth technology dielectric metamaterials, and negative refraction of sound waves.

At the same time, many universities have highlighted the research results. Guangqi Technology is an early enterprise in China that began the industrialization of metamaterials. It has started the construction of related production bases since 2017. By the end of the first phase of Shenzhen Guangqi Technology 709 Base project in 2020, marking that metamaterials have entered the stage of large-scale production.

The acceleration of the industrialization process has driven the acceleration of the revenue growth of LightQuan Technology. According to the company's financial reports in recent years, Guangqi Technology's operating income from 2018 to the first three quarters of 2022 was RMB 464 million, RMB 481 million, RMB 637 million, RMB 859 million and RMB 835 million, respectively, with growth rates of 22.14%, 3.78%, 32.25%, 35.01%, and 117%, respectively.

At the China Air Show, Liu Ruopeng revealed that Guangqi launched the second phase of the 709 base in the second half of this year, and construction is expected to start at the end of the year. At present, Guangqi Technology has sufficient orders in hand. Starting from the end of this year, a large number of new orders have been transferred to small batch production. After the second phase is completed, all developed products involved will enter large-scale batch production. "When the second phase is completed and put into production, we will truly enter a comprehensive and large-scale production." Liu Ruopeng said.

At the same time, Liu Ruopeng added that after the Spring Festival next year, the production lines of the fourth generation of metamaterials will be completed.
