The revolution period of Mars is 687 Earth days, and the inclination of the rotation axis is 25.19 degrees, which is similar to that of the Earth, so it also has four seasons. So judging from the above two conditions, Mars has the conditions to produce air convection, which is wind, so there is wind on Mars.
In the past, solar energy has been used to support Mars missions, but solar power generation is not very convenient during Martian nights or during dust storms when there is less sunlight. For a long time, wind energy has been considered unavailable, mainly because the Martian atmosphere is too thin, making the wind weak.
Scientists have calculated through data simulation that, assuming they have sufficiently efficient wind turbines, they can use wind energy to generate large amounts of electricity in different areas of Mars. With the support of wind power, there are 13 new places on Mars for humans to explore.
