baobab , also known as the bobabu tree, is a large deciduous tree, mainly located in tropical and subtropical Africa. Baobab trees have a very long lifespan, reaching more than 5,000 years, and they can eat, drink and live. Why did they change a lot after they were introduced to China?
The distribution areas of baobab trees are hot and dry areas, and are widely distributed in Africa. Baobabs can be said to be a very magical tree with treasures all over the body. The leaves of Baobab are rich in vitamins and calcium. They are vegetables that local residents like very much. The tender leaves can also be cooked in soup and taste delicious. The fruit is oblong and can be eaten raw directly, and the fruit shell can also be used as a scoop.
The trunk of the baobab tree is generally very thick and can store a large amount of fresh water resources. When there is relatively low water, you can dig a hole in the baobab tree and use it to get water from it. Many areas of Africa are relatively arid. Baobab trees have saved thousands of lives in history, so local people also call it the "Tree of Life".
It is precisely because of the magic of Baobab trees that it has attracted the attention of countless tourists. Many areas with Baobab trees have gradually developed scenic spots, which are very popular. There are even some countries that introduce baobabs into their own countries for planting, but the climate conditions vary greatly.
Many places in my country have introduced baobab trees, but after the introduction, it has changed a lot. It is mainly because the living environment of baobabs can tolerate a maximum of about 40℃ and a minimum of about 0℃. The climate in many parts of my country has a large temperature difference throughout the year. In summer, many cities have temperatures exceeding 40℃, and in winter, weather below 0℃ is also very common.
Such climatic conditions are not suitable for the growth of baobabs, especially frost has a great impact on baobabs. In addition, when I was introduced in China, I didn’t know how to plant baobab trees, so I watered them every once in a while, for fear that the tree species would not be alive, so I even hanged nutrient solution. In the end, they basically changed a lot, which was very different from baobab trees in Africa.
