Why is it said that if humans discover alien life on Mars , then it will be huge bad news for us humans.
Human beings have had a strong curiosity about Mars since ancient times. Since the 19th century, humans have used telescopes to see lines extending from the dark areas on the surface of Mars.
At that time, people began to suspect that there is a very likely existence of Martian life on Mars.
Because these extended lines are very similar to the canals on our earth, the ditches and rivers are like traces washed by rivers.
Therefore, whether it is analyzed from the locations of the eight planets or discussing their surface climate environment, Mars is the most suitable planet for life and survival besides the Earth.
Since then, humans' curiosity about Mars has become uncontrollable and they always want to go up and find out.
With the continuous development of science and technology and as humans become more and more capable of exploring the universe, we began to continuously launch probes to Mars.
However, the entire exploration process about Mars was not actually smooth.
Since 1960, the former Soviet Union has successively launched Mars 1960a1960b Mars 1 , Mars 1962a and Mars 1962b The United States has also launched Mariner 3.
But what makes us humans feel regretful is that these plans ended in failure.
From these failed lessons, we also seem to understand a truth, if alien life is really found on Mars.
Then it is definitely not good news for us humans.
This further shows that the large filter hypothesis we mentioned before is likely to be true.
Large filter hypothesis clearly shows that as long as any species in the universe develops to a certain extent, it will be filtered out by the universe in some way.
We humans are naturally no exception.
No species can develop to the point where it can travel across the stars, otherwise it would not have been so deserted that such a vast universe would have seemed.
Think from this perspective, if only our earth exists in the universe.
Then maybe we humans still have hope to cross the interstellar world and explore a more profound universe.
This means that the large filter hypothesis may be really just a hypothesis. The universe will not deliberately filter out any civilization, and the existence of human beings is a coincidence of the universe.
