Deputy Director of the Autonomous Region Health Commission Irzati Zada
On the evening of October 7, the Information Office of the People's Government of the Autonomous Region held a press conference on epidemic prevention and control. At the meeting, Irzati Zada, deputy director of the Autonomous Region Health Commission, answered reporters' questions.
First, optimize and integrate the existing nucleic acid testing resources to improve the level of laboratory automation and informatization; second, accelerate the speed of laboratory reconstruction and expansion; third, increase the configuration of mobile detection capabilities; fourth, enrich the nucleic acid testing personnel team.
First, improve the level of laboratory automation and informatization. The first is to configure laboratory automation equipment and facilities. Laboratories are encouraged to configure automated equipment such as automatic sample loaders, automatic sample spotters, and automated sample cup processing systems. Through automated experimental operations, existing human resources will be saved, personnel configurations in different positions will be further optimized, and the focus of human resources will be adjusted to the core area of the laboratory to improve laboratory testing efficiency and capabilities. The second is to improve the level of laboratory informationization. Learn from the advanced practices of mainland laboratories and promote intelligent laboratory information management systems. For example, Yili Prefecture introduced a hard membrane laboratory to explore the establishment of an information laboratory pilot. Through the combination of an automatic sample preparation system and an intelligent laboratory information management system, the full process informationization from sample collection to extraction, amplification and data reporting is realized, effectively simplifying the experimental operation process while achieving full process traceability, greatly improving the laboratory testing efficiency and the efficiency of reporting positive test results and single collection review.
The second is to improve the construction of nucleic acid testing capabilities in the entire region. In order to continuously improve the construction of nucleic acid testing capacity in the whole region, on September 10, the autonomous region issued a relevant plan, based on the population of various places, using 10 mixed testing capacity calculations, and urge counties and cities that do not meet the testing capacity standards to fill the gap in testing capacity before the end of October 2022. The Autonomous Region Epidemic Prevention and Control Command urges to follow up on the capacity improvement of various places every day. Up to now, various places are expected to add 1.3 million new capacity by late October through reconstruction, expansion of laboratories, purchase and supplementary instruments and equipment, and the goal will be achieved as scheduled. In addition, other counties (cities, districts) have also actively improved their testing capabilities, providing strong guarantees for sudden outbreaks and normalized epidemic prevention and control nucleic acid testing.
The third is to increase the power of maneuver detection. In order to actively respond to the sudden outbreak and establish a nucleic acid testing force that can be flexibly and maneuverably allocated, the autonomous region has purchased mobile testing vehicles with a daily testing capacity of 10,000 tubes for 12 prefectures and prefectures. All of them have been configured in place, which can improve the mobile testing capacity of 120,000 tubes in the entire region, effectively supplementing the shortcomings of our region's maneuver testing capacity. Taking into account the current epidemic prevention and control needs, the autonomous region temporarily allocated two mobile testing vehicles to the Hami City Entry-Exit Highway Inspection Station, and cooperated with Hami City to prevent spillage and imports.
Fourth, strengthen the construction of the nucleic acid testing personnel team. While strengthening the construction of infrastructure and mobile testing capabilities and improving capabilities, the autonomous region always pays attention to the cultivation of nucleic acid testing talent team. In order to ensure that the construction of nucleic acid testing laboratories and talent team construction meet the standards, all parts of the region have fully tapped talent resources and broadened recruitment channels. On the basis of increasing social recruitment, medical institutions and the Center for Disease Control and Prevention are encouraged to select in-service and in-service medical staff, rotate to participate in nucleic acid testing auxiliary work, and encourage medical staff to apply for PCR professional qualification certificates to quickly enrich the testing personnel team. Up to now, the autonomous region has opened 3 PCR training courses, and 3,477 people have successfully obtained PCR qualification certificates.
passed the above four measures, and the current maximum daily nucleic acid testing capacity in the region has been increased to more than 6.6 million tubes.
