Northeast Normal University Xie Haiming et al. designed and synthesized a composite five-block polymer solid electrolyte (PBCP@LLZTO_30), which combines Li6.4La3Zr1.4Ta0. 6O12(LLZTO) nanoparticles incorporated into polystyrene -poly(ethylene oxide)-poly( propylene oxide )-poly(ethylene oxide)-polystyrene (PS-PEO-PPO-PEO -PS) pentablock copolymer matrix. The addition of LLZTO improves the ion conductivity of CSE by reducing the crystallinity of PS-PEO-PPO-PEO-PS, and also provides an additional transmission channel for lithium ions . The results show that the composite solid electrolyte displays an ionic conductivity of 3.10 × 10-4S cm-1 (28 °C), a lithium ion migration number of 0.36, and an electrochemical stability window of up to 5.1 V.

At 28°C, the LFP//Li batteries assembled from PBCP@LLZTO_30 all showed a high discharge specific capacity of 161 mA h g-1, which is comparable to liquid batteries. At 28 °C, after 160 charge and discharge cycles, the capacity retention rate can reach 95.7%. iron lithium battery shows excellent rate performance. When the rate is increased to 1 C, the capacity can reach 83 mA h g-1. After returning to 0.1 C again, the capacity can still be restored to 160 mA h g-1.
