My sequelae of COVID-19 are hiccups , which is really an annoying symptom.
In the past, I was a very good person, and I had no problem doing anything. However, after new coronavirus recovered, I encountered some strange symptoms.
is hiccups first. I don’t know why, but whenever I’m in public or interacting with others, I hiccup involuntarily. This made me feel really embarrassed because I know burping is rude.
I have tried many ways to eliminate this symptom, but to no avail. I tried tea, water, mints, and even some medicine, but nothing worked. I began to wonder if I really had the sequelae of COVID-19, and if I really had a bad disease.
Then I started researching the sequelae of COVID-19 and found that the virus can have many effects on the human body, but hiccups were not mentioned in any information. I began to wonder if I had contracted COVID-19 again, so I went to the hospital to get tested. What about the result of
? I didn’t get COVID again, but I got a little ailment called hiccups. The disease is not serious, but it can be embarrassing. Doctors told me that hiccups are caused by excessive gas buildup in our digestive tract.
So, I started to try to take some measures to improve this situation. I began to pay attention to my diet and try to avoid foods that easily produce gas, such as beans, high-fiber foods and fermented foods. I also started drinking more water to stay hydrated.
Of course, I did not forget to do appropriate physical exercise. I find that when I exercise, my hiccups decrease significantly. I speculate that this may be because exercise helps the gas in our digestive tract pass out of the body faster.
I also tried to learn some hiccup suppression methods. One way to do this is to swallow a sip of water before burping so that the gas can be swallowed back. I also learned a technique called burp massage, which is to suppress hiccups by gently pressing the skin around your belly button with your hands.
Although these methods did not completely eliminate my hiccups, they did help to improve my hiccups. I slowly got used to this lifestyle and learned to stay calm when burping in public.
So, if you also have the problem of hiccups, you might as well try these things I did, which may be able to alleviate your hiccups. Although hiccups are not a serious disease, they can still make people feel very uncomfortable, so we should still work hard to improve our hiccups.
Finally, I want to tell you a little secret: I recently started a new treatment method - eating chili peppers. We all know that chili peppers can stimulate our sense of taste and have a certain stimulating effect on the digestive tract. So I started eating a little chili pepper after every meal, hoping to further improve my hiccups. I wonder if this method will be effective? I will continue to observe and if it really works, I will definitely tell everyone.
