After consultation by multidisciplinary doctors, minimally invasive orthopedic surgery was performed and timely treatment was obtained.
"High energy impact is the main cause of severe pelvic fractures, including falling from high places, extreme sports, road traffic accidents, etc. 10%-15% of patients with pelvic fractures were sent to the emergency room and showed shock when they were sent to the emergency room, and the mortality rate among these patients was as high as 30%. Traditional surgery has large injuries, many bleeding, and a high incidence of complications. When the patient was admitted to the hospital, the orthopedic team conducted a detailed analysis of the imaging data of several patients, and after consultation and discussion with anesthesia department, , imaging department, interventional department and other multiple disciplines, they formulated a detailed surgical and perioperative management plan, and decided to use the same minimally invasive technical fixation method for all three patients: first, then go to the lumbosacral + sacroiliac screw fixation, and then go to the supine position for INFIX fixation.
Before the operation, the surgical team and nursing team actively guided and educated the patients based on the specific condition of the patient to relieve the patient's anxiety. At the same time, a series of standardized ERAS plans (comprehensive plan to promote postoperative recovery). The operation is completed through a small incision, which reduces surgical trauma, shortens the operation time, and quickly completes the operation for the patient. After the operation, the doctor's team adopted a multi-modal analgesia method to put the patient in painless or mild pain, and can perform functional recovery exercises in the early stage.
According to reports, in recent years, the orthopedic department of Shantou Medical First Hospital has rapidly improved in the treatment of severe pelvic fractures, especially the technical level of minimally invasive surgery. This year, the hospital responded to the establishment of a regional trauma treatment system in response to the country and established a trauma center. By strengthening the mechanism of early warning before hospitals, it established a multidisciplinary joint diagnosis and treatment model for severe trauma patients and multiple injuries and patients, and strengthened the construction of an emergency green channel. Every day, multiple severe trauma patients received effective and timely treatment at the First Trauma Center of the Affiliated Hospital.
