Although the daytime temperature in Shenyang has been above zero in the past few days, the sun is quite warm when it is shining on it. But after the beginning of winter, it also means that there are not many warm days this year. Although the weather gets colder, winter is often a season when cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases are high. In this regard, Shenyang Center for Disease Control and Prevention combines the current epidemic situation to remind citizens to be vigilant about the risk of stroke .

First of all, we need to understand "what is stroke"

Stroke is commonly known as "stroke". It is an acute cerebrovascular disease. It is a group of diseases that cause brain tissue damage due to sudden rupture of blood vessels in the brain or blockage of blood vessels, causing blood to flow into the brain. It is usually divided into two categories: ischemic and hemorrhagic. Stroke has the characteristics of "five highs" of high incidence, high recurrence rate, high disability rate, high mortality rate and high economic burden. It is one of the major chronic non-communicable diseases that threaten the health of our country's national health.

What are the risk factors for stroke?

stroke can be prevented and cured. Risk factors that can be intervened include hypertension , dyslipidemia , hyperglycemia (diabetes), heart disease (affertial fibrillation), smoking, alcohol consumption, lack of exercise, obesity, unhealthy diet, etc.

Nowadays, many young people like to stay up late and have irregular daily routines, which will increase the risk of stroke. Most young people suffer from strokes in the second half of the night, so ensuring adequate sleep can also effectively reduce the risk of stroke. In addition, you should also exercise appropriately. During the epidemic, try to minimize going out. You can do some indoor activities, squats, sit-ups, etc. For hypertension, hyperglycemia and hyperlipidemia patients should take medication on time and check blood sugar regularly as required, hyperlipidemia and blood pressure indicators. If the standard is not met, the dosage or type of drug needs to be adjusted under the guidance of a doctor.

Pay attention to a reasonable diet, and the types of diets should be diverse. It is recommended to eat more fruits, vegetables, nuts and beans, whole grains, and low-fat dairy products; quit smoking and limit alcohol, and avoid high-oil and high-salt diets.

How to quickly identify stroke?

"Stroke 120" formula

is a strategy suitable for the public to quickly identify strokes and act immediately:

"1" means "seeing an asymmetric face";

"2" means "check whether both arms are unilaterally weak";

"0" means "listening (zero) to listen to the speech clearly."

If you suspect that the patient has a stroke through these three steps, you can call the emergency number 120 immediately. Remember 6 o'clock:

1. Dial the phone, keep calm, speak clearly, and be concise and easy to understand.

2. Simply and clearly inform the condition of the disease, such as age, gender, past medical history, symptoms, etc.

3. Inform the specific location, the more detailed the location, the better, including the street and door numbers. It is best to provide some obvious markers to facilitate the rescue personnel to arrive in time.

4. You must wait for 120 staff to hang up the phone first to ensure that the staff accurately grasps the relevant information.

5. After making the phone call, if more than one person is present, one of them can be asked to pick up the car at the door or intersection. When you see the ambulance, you should take the initiative to pick it up and lead the medical staff to the scene.

6. Remember to keep the phone number "120" open.
