Clinically, Diabetes is divided into many types, but the most common are 1 type and 2html type 3 diabetes.
According to the newly released CDS "Guidelines for the Prevention and Treatment of Type 3 Diabetes in China (2020 Edition)", 2html type 3 diabetes currently accounts for 90% of all diabetic patients with or more [1]. Globally, the number of diabetes patients in China has been showing a gradual growth trend, which has seriously endangered human health. The cause and pathogenesis of
2htmltype 3 diabetes is not clear at present. Its pathophysiology is characterized by a decrease in insulin ability to regulate glucose metabolism (insulin resistance) and a decrease insulin secretion caused by defects in pancreatic β-cell function.
2022 10html March 8html On the 3rd, the China National Medical Products Administration approved the launch of the 1 innovative drug Dogliasetin tablets (trade name: Huatanging) submitted by Hualing Pharmaceutical Technology (Shanghai) Co., Ltd., which is suitable for improving blood sugar control in adult 2html type 3 diabetes patients. At present, it has been launched one after another.
dogliasetin is an ectopic allosteric glucose kinase (GK) full activator. It acts on the glucose kinase targets in the storage and output organs of glucose such as liver and liver, improves the secretion of impaired glucose-stimulated insulin and GLP-1 in patients with type 3 diabetes, thereby improving β-cell function, reducing insulin resistance, and improving blood glucose-home dysregulation in patients with type 3 diabetes [2] .
As we all know, when a person is in a normal physiological state, the human blood sugar level is stable at 3.9--5.6mmol/L ( steady state equilibrium), to ensure the normal physiological functions of cells such as the brain, red blood cells, , and other cells that rely on glucose energy. This state is called blood sugar homeostasis. As a glucose sensor, the glucose metabolic enzyme, GK, can sense changes in glucose concentration, timely regulate the secretion of insulin and glucagon, and maintain the body's glucose homeostasis [3]. Some patients with 2html type 3 diabetes have GK damage, and their reaction is slow, and the secretion time is seriously lagging behind the normal value.
However, although there are many anti-glycemic drugs on the market, before the Dogliasetin tablets were approved for the market, there was no diabetes treatment drug for the human body's own regulation ability. As a currently approved glucose kinase activator, dogliasetin tablets provide new treatment options for patients with 2html type 3 diabetes.
