The surgical patient is a 67-year-old man. He accidentally fell while working and felt particularly uncomfortable in his left shoulder after the injury. He was later accompanied by his family members to the Orthopedics Department of Wei County People's Hospital for treatment. After coming to the hospital, a physical examination revealed that his left shoulder was protruding, accompanied by tenderness and limited movement. After completing imaging examination , he was diagnosed with left acromioclavicular joint dislocation. After thorough discussions with the department staff, and communication with the patient and his family to obtain consent, Department Director Wang Haimin decided to use new technology to perform minimally invasive surgery on the patient for left acromioclavicular joint dislocation with an adjustable band-loop steel plate. After admission, we actively improved the preoperative examination and preparation. Two days later, with the close cooperation of the operating room and the anesthesia department, Director Wang Haimin led the department team to successfully perform minimally invasive surgery for the elderly patient's acromioclavicular joint dislocation. The operation went very smoothly, and the patient and his family were very satisfied with the results of the operation.

We performed minimally invasive treatment of acromioclavicular joint dislocation with an adjustable loop steel plate for this elderly patient. This technology is a new surgical method for acromioclavicular joint dislocation. This new technology not only has small incisions, less bleeding, light pain, and fast healing. It also has technical advantages such as good minimally invasive tissue compatibility, meeting the biomechanical requirements of "micro-motion" of the acromioclavicular joint, few postoperative complications, and no need for a second surgery to remove the steel plate. A "magic" small loop steel plate is used to minimally invasively treat acromioclavicular joint dislocation, and it truly achieves the "small material"'s big effect. "
