Poyang County People's Hospital's "Snake Injury Diagnosis and Treatment Center" was established in 2019. Since its establishment, all more than 100 snake injuries patients who have successfully admitted have been cured and discharged from the hospital, and none of them died or were disabled.

According to Yu Zhongbao, the head of the "Snake Injury Diagnosis and Treatment Center" and director of the emergency department of the hospital, most patients who come to seek treatment are bitten by viper , cobra and silver ring snake . After the patient was admitted to the hospital, the doctors quickly judged different types of snake bites based on the patient's description, wound shape and typical symptoms, and chose to inject different snake venom serum. If the symptoms are particularly serious, the hospital also needs to perform blood perfusion on the patient, and under the supervision of modern instruments, it can help the patient through the most dangerous period of his life.

What bothers Director Yu is that after some patients were bitten by snakes, they quickly escaped due to emotional tension and venomous snake . The patient did not describe the appearance of the snake when seeking treatment; some patients had no obvious wounds and atypical symptoms, which caused the doctor to be able to quickly determine what type of snake bite and could not accurately prescribe the right medicine. Director Yu called on citizens to pay attention to the external shape of the snake and the external color of the snake as soon as possible, so as to help doctors quickly and accurately judge the type of snake, and use special snake venom serum in a targeted manner to strive for the best treatment effect.
