Vision health is related to the quality of teenagers' growth and has an extremely significant impact on teenagers' lives. In order to better understand the current situation of vision health for adolescents in Jinan, we will deeply analyze the main issues of vision health for adolescents, and provide strong guarantees for vision health for adolescents. Recently, the Jinan survey team of the National Bureau of Statistics conducted a special survey with the theme of "Youth Vision Health", and collected and understood the current vision level and influencing factors of Jinan teenagers through research questionnaires, interviews, visits and surveys. Through the survey, it was found that the trend of young people's vision health problems in Jinan has not weakened, and a sub-healthy lifestyle has become the main reason for vision decline.
Nine half of teenagers have myopia problems, but the overall degree is low
Through research, it was found that the vision problems of teenagers are mainly myopia, and it is relatively common. Among the surveyed, 52.3% of the adolescents had normal vision, 44.7% of the adolescents had myopia problems, and 3.0% of the adolescents had hyperopia problems. Survey data shows that 6.8% of kindergarten children have myopia problems, 12.4% of primary school students have myopia problems, 19.3% of junior high school students have myopia problems, and 21.8% of high school students have myopia problems. From the data, we can see that myopia problem in primary and junior high schools has seen explosive growth. After entering high school, the growth rate of myopic adolescents has gradually stabilized. In addition, it was learned through the survey that although most teenagers have a long time to apply glasses, the overall degree is low. Only 13.5% of teenagers have glasses of more than 300 degrees, 37.4% of myopic teenagers have glasses of between 100 and 200, and 49.1% of myopic teenagers have glasses of less than 100 degrees. Early myopia has a certain treatment space, so vision problems in most adolescents can be improved to varying degrees.
Health awareness is biased, and the situation of family eye protection is severe. In the survey, it was found that both parents and teenagers have a certain sense of youth. 42.3% of the surveyed people believe that they and their children will pay attention to vision health in life; 34.6% of the surveyed people believe that parents pay more attention to their children's vision protection, but teenagers do not pay enough attention to vision; 6.2% of the surveyed people believe that children should pay more attention to vision protection than parents; 16.9% of the surveyed people believe that parents and children do not pay attention to vision health. However, the increasingly popular awareness of vision health among adolescents has certain one-sided problems. 83.3% of the surveyed people will only correct their children's sitting posture and visual distance when they are studying, and will not pay attention to the correct use of their children when using tablets and mobile phones. At the same time, 90.1% of the surveyed people only corrected their children's wrong eye use behavior, but never guided their children to perform eye protection activities such as eye exercises and , and far-distance viewing.
has insufficient automatic control capabilities, and electronic products have serious impacts. The prevalence of electronic products is an important factor that causes vision problems in adolescents. Among the many factors that cause vision problems, the use of electronic devices is the most serious. 84.6% of the surveyed people believe that their children often use electronic devices; 31.7% of the parents said that their children have the habit of lying down to read books; 55.8% of the parents believe that their children are mentally depressed and do not like to exercise. Among them, 31.2% of parents said that their children used electronic devices for more than 3 hours/day, 24.4% of children used electronic devices for about 2 hours/day, and only 44.4% of teenagers who used electronic devices for less than 1 hour/day were using electronic devices. Among them, 78.9% of parents believe that their children's use of electronic devices is due to insufficient self-control ability; 15.4% of parents believe that frequent use of electronic devices is a learning need.
Vision health knowledge is insufficiently popularized, and the single form of eye protection education
Parents' biased understanding of vision health and some parents lack a good eye protection awareness are the main factors that lead to vision problems in adolescents. The main reason for this problem is that local vision health knowledge is insufficient. The education on vision health for adolescents is limited to campus, and parents have narrow ways to obtain vision health knowledge. Most parents' awareness of vision health mainly comes from daily online information and lacks systematic training. This leads to parents' cognitive bias and weak consciousness in the process of guiding adolescents to use their eyes correctly.
The large-scale use of electronic devices is a prominent problem that causes vision problems among adolescents. The main reason for long-term use of electronic devices is that teenagers lack good living habits and cannot reasonably arrange their daily lives. The lack of outdoor activities, literary and artistic activities and other problems has led to teenagers spending a lot of spare time on electronic devices, resulting in vision problems. In addition, the influence of only children and virtual networks has led to insufficient social ability in adolescents, and a large number of teenagers even have social fears, further aggravating their insufficient outdoor activities.
In addition, campus eye protection education is single. Teenagers themselves are the determinant of vision health, and parents' management can only play an auxiliary role. In addition, the middle-aged and young people are busy with work, and most parents spend a short time with their children and do not have the energy to manage the eye use behavior of young people for a long time. Therefore, the autonomy of eye protection among adolescents is the key to determining their vision health. However, the current form of eye protection education on campus is relatively single, and it is only carried out through eye exercises, eye protection lectures, etc., which lacks good interaction and experience, and cannot fully attract the attention of young people, resulting in eye protection education becoming a form and failing to fully stimulate young people's awareness of eye protection.
suggests strengthening social eye protection publicity and enriching campus eye protection activities
National Bureau of Statistics Jinan survey team believes that in response to the problem of insufficient parents' vision health knowledge, eye protection publicity at the social level should be strengthened, relying on communities and enterprises to widely carry out popularization of vision health knowledge for adolescents to convey correct, scientific and systematic vision health knowledge to parents. At the same time, campuses at all levels should actively play the guiding role of family education and conduct regular communication with parents on the vision health issues of adolescents, and even if parents solve their problems on eye use, they should provide good technical and strategic support for improving the quality of family eye protection management.
At the same time, deepen the after-school service system. With the implementation of the " double reduction " policy and the repeated impact of the epidemic in recent years, the time for teenagers to leave school has increased significantly. In order to solve the problem that teenagers cannot arrange their personal time reasonably, help teenagers develop good living habits. The after-school service system should be deepened and various forms of vivid and interesting after-school service activities should be carried out. Relying on after-school services, we provide teenagers with organized, designed and interesting outdoor activities opportunities. In turn, it will free young people from the troubles of electronic products and the virtual world.
aims at the problem of weak eye protection awareness among adolescents, enriches campus eye protection activities, and actively carries out popular science visits, scientific experiments on vision themes, eye health evaluation and other activities. Use vivid and interesting activities to broaden the horizons, so that they can understand the importance of vision healthier, and at the same time develop a strong interest in eye protection, thereby ensuring that teenagers can independently regulate eye use habits without the management of teachers and parents.
