However, the "diuretic pills" she took had high hopes that actually did not have the effect of slimming and reducing swelling that it promoted. Some doctors pointed out that the diuretic drug , which is similar to it, will be used as an antihypertensive drug, and is mainly used to reduce the heart load in patients with heart failure ; its serious side effects are low sodium and low potassium, which is what is clinically called electrolyte disorders, which can be fatal. If An An was not sent to the hospital in time by his mother who lived with him when he was on the disease, the consequences would be unimaginable.
In fact, An An’s experience is not an isolated case. Reports about the side effects of overseas Internet celebrity drugs are common, and many consumers have suffered varying degrees of harm and losses. Click on a certain online shopping app and search for "Internet Wind Diuretic Pills", and related products from many countries will appear, and the data of selling 1,000 pieces per month is extremely dazzling. Open a self-media platform to find related products, and you can easily see countless recommended posts. They all use "harmless natural extracts" and "green and healthy" to show themselves, and deceive batches of simple consumers under the banner of "loss weight and lose weight".
In order to protect the safety and legitimate rights and interests of the public, we must take immediate measures to improve the current "chaos" of online shopping for drugs overseas.
First of all, my country should further improve laws and regulations on the production, operation and use of drugs, and crack down on suspected illegal sales of drugs on cross-border e-commerce platforms. Secondly, relevant management departments should strengthen market supervision and coordinate with each other to improve supervision efficiency and ensure the safety and effectiveness of overseas drugs legally sold on the market.
