Unfortunately, Hua Guofeng himself did not have much chance to taste the delicious food he grew because he suffered from syrup disease and his diet was strictly controlled.
He was only allowed to eat 1 tael of rice or a small mouthful of noodles for each meal. Once, when he made dumplings at home, Hua Guofeng was allowed to eat more than a dozen. After eating, Hua Guofeng wanted to eat it, so he begged his wife for a long time before giving two more.
Perhaps because Hua Guofeng is from Shanxi, he likes to eat pasta very much. At the beginning, Chef Xie, who just came to work at Hua's house, did not know how to make pasta, so Han Zhijun taught him step by step.
Hua Guofeng likes tomato and egg braised. This thing is convenient to make and tastes delicious. So when the tomatoes are on the market, Huajia will stock up a lot and make them into tomato sauce and keep them until winter to eat.

Hua Guofeng had been waiting in the living room for a long time. As soon as he saw Yao Junqing enter the door, he immediately stood up to greet him.
Their topic quickly changed to calligraphy. Hua Guofeng said with regret that he had not practiced calligraphy well for three years because of his physical reasons.
Perhaps because of empathy, Yao Junqing suddenly became excited: "It shouldn't be stopped. Calligraphy can strengthen the body! "
As he said, Yao Junqing stood up and told Hua Guofeng that "the power of calligraphy lies in his feet".

Missing hometown Jiaocheng
Except for those who came to visit because of calligraphy , Hua Guofeng's family often has old comrades in and out. , Qian Sijie, known as the "red wall photographer", once worked as a full-time photographer for Hua Guofeng for three years.
When he was working with Hua Guofeng, Hua Guofeng always called him "old money and old money", although Qian Sijie was 7 years younger than Hua Guofeng.

In 1940, Hua Guofeng was sent to Jiaocheng to carry out work. He served as the secretary of the Jiaocheng County Sacrifice Alliance Association, the director of the county anti-Japanese and national salvation association and the minister of the district peasant department, the director of the county party committee propaganda department and the director of the anti-Japanese and national salvation association.
After the victory of the Anti-Japanese War, Hua Guofeng served as the secretary of the Jiaocheng County Party Committee and the political commissar of the county armed brigade. He was affectionately called "Hua Political Commissar" by the villagers. After

In 1991, Hua Guofeng returned to Jiaocheng for the second time. This time, he took his wife Han Zhijun to the county government guesthouse and met with the elders and villagers in his hometown.
After meeting her niece, Hua Guofeng asked her about the economic and construction situation of Jiaocheng. At that time, when her niece worked in a fertilizer factory, Hua Guofeng asked, "How is the production and economic situation of your fertilizer factory ?"

Unfortunately, Hua Guofeng never returned to his hometown again. On August 20, 2008, Hua Guofeng died in Beijing at the age of 87.
Before his death, he proposed four principles on the issue of body resettlement:
Do not occupy arable land, do not destroy cultural relics, do not destroy the environment, and do not compete with the people for land.
At the same time, he repeatedly emphasized: "Let me go back to Guashan, there are many trees and clean. When I was a child, I was there, and guerrilla warfare was there..."
After Hua Guofeng's death, Han Zhijun adhered to the four principles proposed by Hua Guofeng and the last wish of falling leaves returning to the roots, and said with tears: "Find a barren hillside and bury it."
Subsequently, the Central Committee of the Party approved Hua Guofeng's last wish to return to his hometown . Of course, Han Zhijun said that "finding a barren hillside" could not be agreed.
On September 22, Hua Guofeng's two sons returned to Guashan in Jiaocheng to choose a location for his father's cemetery.
On April 8, 2009, the groundbreaking ceremony of Comrade Hua Guofeng's ashes installation project was held at the southern foot of Guashan Mountain.

After marriage, Hua Guofeng took Han Zhijun back to Jiaocheng. My mother was very happy to see such a generous daughter-in-law.
However, she quietly pulled her son aside and asked, "Why did you find a girl from the army? It's not easy for the people from the army to go home, why don't you marry our local girl?"
Hua Guofeng smiled: "I am like-minded and share the joys and sorrows, and I will definitely grow old together."
The fact is true. Han Zhijun, like Hua Guofeng, is also a revolutionary, so she can understand Hua Guofeng's busyness best.
Not long after, Hua Guofeng was transferred from the Jinzhong Prefectural Committee. He was asked to go south with the troops, and served as the first secretary of the Xiangyin County Party Committee of the Communist Party of China in Hunan Province after liberation.

At that time, Hua Guofeng was a little uncomfortable with Hunan cuisine. He missed the pasta from the north in particular. In addition, he was busy with work, so he quickly lost weight.
Han Zhijun saw it and was anxious. In order to let Hua Guofeng eat more, she specially learned how to make pasta and changed her tricks every day to let Hua Guofeng eat well.
In the love of that era, there was no vigorous vows, only the long flow of water in the firewood, rice, oil and salt. Han Zhijun, who was hiding behind Hua Guofeng, was also a hero.
In 1971, Hua Guofeng was transferred to Beijing, and Han Zhijun went to the nursery to work as a nurseryman. In the unit, everyone called her "Aunt Han", and her condition did not change because of Hua Guofeng's position.
