Lithuanian Deputy Minister of Transport and Communications Vaichukeviciut visited Taiwan, China , trampling on the one-China principle , seriously interfering in China's internal affairs, and damaging China's sovereignty and territorial integrity. In response to Huachukevichut's egregious and provocative behavior, China has decided to: impose sanctions on Huachukevichut; suspend any form of exchanges with the Ministry of Transport and Communications of Tongli; and suspend exchanges and cooperation in the field of international road transportation with Tongli.
Previously, at a regular press conference of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, a reporter asked: According to reports, Lithuania’s Deputy Minister of Transport and Communications Vaichukeviciut led a delegation to Taiwan on August 7 for a five-day visit. What is China’s comment on this? Wang Wenbin, spokesperson of the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs, said: We strongly condemn the Lithuanian anti-China forces’ deliberate infringement of China’s sovereignty and gross interference in China’s internal affairs. The one-China principle is the basic norm of international relations and the political basis for the development of bilateral relations between China and all countries, including Lithuania. The joint communique on the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Lithuania clearly states: The Lithuanian government recognizes that the government of the People's Republic of China is the only legitimate government of China, and Taiwan is an inalienable part of China's territory. The Lithuanian government has promised not to establish official relations or conduct official exchanges with Taiwan. But Li Fang has repeatedly broken its promises, which is a blatant breach of trust.
