Relic Introduction:
Licheng Pengzhuang Zhaojiazhuang-Changzhougou Formation Profile is located between Pengzhuang Village, Xijing Town, Licheng County and Dajingpan. According to the rock formations in Shanxi Province, this section is a sub-stratigraphic profile of the Zhaojiazhuang Formation and Changzhougou Formation in Shanxi. The profile was first measured by the Shanxi District Transfer Team in 1969 at the time of the Zuoquan area adjustment of 1:200,000 yuan, and was retested in 1978 by Wu Tieshan and others.
Zhaojiazhuang Formation is a set of rock formation units with red mudstone and shale as the main thin layer of quartz sandstone in the bottom of the sedimentary strata in the Taihang Mountains area under the Changzhougou Formation. The terrain is gentle sloped, and it is in a integrated contact with the overly covered Changzhougou Formation. The angle does not integrate and cover the gneiss in the lower Tongyu Formation. The thickness of the group is 146.5 meters in the section.
Changzhougou Group was founded in 1964, the on-site academic discussion meeting of the Zhendan Department of Jixian County. The famous location is Changzhougou, Xiaying Town, Ji County. This group is composed of rock formation units characterized by clastic rock (sandstone, conglomerate , and a small amount of silt sandstone ), and contains a large amount of quartzite-like sandstone. The group is 731.7 meters thick on the profile, and often forms a large steep ridge in the landform.
