In September 1992, I came to the newspaper for internship as a reporter from People's Public Security Daily Guizhou Station. In those years, in order to let local journalists understand the editorial work of newspapers and enhance their overall awareness and layout awareness of writing, the newspaper called on local journalists to come to the newspapers for a period of time with conditions permitted. During my internship at the newspaper, I was mainly responsible for editing submissions from various places.

Xia Xiaolu interviewed the meritorious police officer.
That day, the door of the reporter department suddenly opened, and Comrade Ai Qun, then deputy editor-in-chief, pushed the door open and entered. He was not tall and amiable. He pinched a pair of glasses in his hand and stood in the middle of the office and asked, "Who will go to interview the hot topic "enter the pass" tomorrow?"
What is "enter the pass"? Everyone looked at each other. Qiao Jianzhong, then director of the journalist department, said: "Xiaoxia, come and complete this interview."
"Ah?" I immediately grabbed my laptop and ran into the information room, checking "entering the pass" like a worker bee. There was no cell phone at that time, let alone online. Fortunately, I found the manuscript published by People's Daily on October 30, 1992, "How do we welcome "entering the pass"? 》. It is extremely challenging for public security journalists to understand a highly "political, economic, and historical" current affairs issue and conduct cross-industry interviews in a short period of time.
I conducted in-depth interviews with relevant industries, experts and scholars in Beijing, and published several articles on the content of China's participation in , the World Trade Organization, and the World Trade Organization. This series of interviews made me know that a public security reporter cannot just defend the "one acre and three-point land". It is particularly important to expand knowledge, open your horizons, and face the society.
The most impressive thing was the long newsletter "Notes that stirred up on the dual track" published in the People's Public Security Daily. Back then, I and the stationmaster Wang Xiuchang interviewed more than 30 passenger police officers and their families from the Guiyang Railway Public Security Bureau. For in-depth interviews, I took the Beijing-Guangzhou train many times, traveling between Guiyang and Beijing, and traveling back and forth for more than 40 hours. Follow the flight attendant in the car on duty regardless of day or night. After the report was released, the Guiyang Railway Public Security Department called on all police officers to study, and many police officers and their families were moved to tears after reading. That interview made me understand that the focus of journalists’ kung fu is “deep”, going deep into the grassroots and life; in-depth exploration and in-depth analysis.
html In the late 1990s, I was transferred to the Guangdong Provincial Public Security Department to engage in news reporting in the publicity department. During the epidemic in 2020, I completed more than 40,000 words of public security anti-epidemic news and literary reports, and published them in the People's Public Security Daily and other media. From green years to frosted temples, I have made contributions to news reports 9 times. 38 Spring and Autumn , "People's Public Security Daily" is like a lighthouse, illuminating the way forward for me who is voyage, me who is confused in the dark night, and me who is wasted by wind and rain. It can be said that the People's Public Security Daily is not only the mother's home of the public security journalists, but also the battlefield where we ride horses and gallop.
I sail far away, you set your sail, thank the People's Public Security Daily for accompanying me to walk the world with my sword.
