Since the KMAC Act of 1996, the call for turning corporate compliance issues into internal governance issues in the form of legal judgments has become increasingly strong. At this point, companies have gradually become the main body of compliance construction. In recent years, my country's economy has entered a stage of rapid development. Since the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission issued the "Notice on Carrying out Pilot Work for the Construction of Compliance Management Systems in Some Central Enterprises" in 2016, the prelude to the construction of compliance management systems in central enterprises has begun. In 2021, the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security, in conjunction with many major national departments, included enterprise compliance engineers in the occupational classification ceremony. As a new profession that runs side by side with lawyers, accountants, auditors, , the main job of an enterprise compliance engineer is to ensure that all business activities of the enterprise meet the requirements. This requirement covers a very wide range, mainly including laws and regulations, industry guidelines and even ethical norms.
The main responsibility of an enterprise compliance engineer is to internalize these external laws into an internal execution management system based on the company's specific operational situation, and standardize the operation of the enterprise by guiding the company's employees' work. In recent years, with the gradual strategicization of corporate compliance work, more and more companies have extended olive branches to the profession of corporate compliance engineer. At present, the profession still has a talent gap of 9 million waiting to be filled. In order to meet the talent needs of many enterprises, the China Enterprise Evaluation Enterprise Compliance Expert Professional Committee sponsored the Enterprise Compliance Expert Professional Ability Examination.
This examination is a professional ability level examination organized by the China Enterprise Evaluation Association in order to implement the "Notice on Strengthening New Vocational Training" in the "Notice on Accelerating the Development of New Vocational Standards and Orderly Carrying out New Vocational Evaluation". The examination is open to the public and is used to test the corporate compliance and practice ability of the examinees. At the same time, the examination also has the responsibility to promote the regularization and professionalization of the corporate compliance team.
